I shut the fridge and walked up to my room. Since my curtains were open I saw Manik sitting there on his bed so I walked over to the ledge and he looked up, but I closed the curtains.
I changed into a crop tee and shorts flopping down on my bed. After a while I knew I had to make notes and finish the bio project so I sent the partner stuff to Manik and got busy with other notes
I was busy making cards out of the chemistry notes for the exam when I heard something downstairs. I grabbed a textbook in my hands to protect myself and peaked my head out of my room only to find Manik there.
I looked at the time and it was 2 in the morning. I put my textbook down and walked downstairs to see him tripping over nothing.
"Manik" I called and he looked up at me
"You are so stupid" he said and I instantly knew he was drunk
"Manik what the heck are you doing here" I asked and he stumbled to me
"Your door was open, I told you to have it locked right" he said and I sighed cause I forgot
"Let me lock it, sit here" I said and he fell on the couch while I locked the doors
"Manik seriously" I said seeing him trying to get up
"I'm hungry" he said
"Come on" I grabbed onto his arm and he winced in pain
"Manik did he hit you" I asked making him sit again
"Who"
'Your dad"
"He always hits me" he said so helplessly
"Come on lets get you cleaned up" I said and he shook his head
"It is gonna hurt" he said
"I will try not to hurt you okay, come on" I said and he got up holding me
With a lot of effort we got upstairs and he fell on my bed.
"Take your shirt off let me see where it hurts"
"No shame shame" he said making me smile
"Manik come on"
"No I don't want to, you will not like me if you see my scars" he siad pouting
"Manik I like you for your personality not your body, and your scars are not something that'll make me not like you" I said pulling him up
"Take it off" I siad and he slowly took his t shirt off revealing a whole bunch of fresh bruises
"Manik what happened"
"He said I was useless, nandini I have been doing everything, what do I do to make him proud of me. I learned how to play the guitar, basketball, chess, singing, everything but I am still not good enough" he said sadly
"You are good enough for me Manik" I said putting ointment on his bruises making him groan a little
"You remind me of her" he said putting his face in my stomach
"Let's get you some food"
"Yes im hungry"
"Lay down here, ill bring you some noodles"
"Can I shower first" he asked
"Yes you may but tell me why are you drunk"
"I umm I dont know, im not drunk" he said getting up
"Be careful in there, here is a towel" I said handing him one
He carefully walked to the bathroom while I ran to make noodles. I also grabbed coke from the fridge and a slice of lemon. I walked upstairs to see Manik laying on my bed in his boxers
"Manik"
"Tum a gayi, I was missing you" he said getting up
I did not fail to notice his well built body, I sat down n front of him and he giggled like actually giggled seeing noddles
"Feed me" he said and I slowly started feeding him
"Can you stay with me forever" he asked still pretty wasted
"And why would I do that" I asked
"I know I make mistakes, hell I probably am a whole mistake but when im with you I feel like im something, I feel like im worth it"
"Then why do you push me away" I asked
"I don't want to hurt you" I smiled at his reply
"I know, come here" I said seeing noddles on the side of his mouth
He leaned forward and I wiped his mouth making him smile, I finished the rest of the noodles he left and put the plate on the table.
"Open up Manik" I said giving him the lemon slice
"No this is kadwa"
"I know but it'll get rid of this drunkness of yours"
"Hey im not drunk"
"Really how many drinks did you have" I asked
"Umm maybe 10 well then I got another one then another umm I dont know"
"Exactly so suck on this lemon" I said and he pouted
"pyar sai bolo na"
"Mani please" I said seeing his cute face and he smiled
"Only because you said so otherwise you know I never listen to anyone" I nodded handing him the lemon slice
He sucked on it and made a yuck face giving the lemon back to me
"This is bad, yuckkyyy" he said making faces and I took a picture of him making him glare at me
"You are so mean nandu" he blurt out
"Manik come on please, ill give you something after pack"
"Something" he said making faces
"Umm chocolate, white chocolate to be exact" I said and his eyes widened
"You have it"
"I do"
"Promise you will give me"
"Pinky promise" I said and he linked his pinky with mine
He scouted forward and I put the lemon in his mouth, he put his head on my shoulder leaning on me
"I tried staying away, I even closed my curtains but it's not fair"
"What's not fair"
"I feel like I have known you for ages, everyday since the past 3 weeks I have tried to not come close to you or to let you close to me but it's impossible for some reason. I feel at peace and calm when im with you. I feel like that 9 year old boy again but you know what Nandini"
"What Manik"
"I don't wanna hurt you" he sounded so sad
"Why do you think you will hurt me"
"I did hurt you na, I said such bad words to you on the phone, I didn't mean them but it's the only way to keep you away from me"
