Darker than darkness

"Originally we found it with some pirates when we captured them. Seems like they were too scared by the devil fruit to even 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦 to try to eat it. So they were trying to sell it in the black market."

"A devil fruit that emits such darkness...... One can only imagine what kind of power it withholds." shuddered Sai at the thought of the possibility.

"Tell me honestly. Would you dare?"

At this Sai thought for a moment and said "I suppose I can. I m able to withstand it fine. But I don't suppose there are many people in this world who can. Seems like a person must have at  the very least, basic haki to be able to stand a chance. Or they have to be extraordinarily gifted by birth."

"Yes. And to think that such a devil fruit has existed all this time... and we have never even heard about it"

"That indeed seems too unlikely. Maybe this devil fruit hasn't existed since before? Maybe it was created just recently?" Sai said half jokingly

"Hohoho If there were someone capable of creating such devil fruits, the world would already have fallen into chaos by now."

"I suppose you are right. But in any case, this may not be the only one of its kind like this. We may encounter more of these, um, 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 devil fruits in the future"

"That's also a reason this mission is top priority. You are one of the strongest marine officials in the entire north blue, enough to be able to reach the vice admiral post by talent alone. Make sure this gets delivered to grand line safely, from there it will be escorted by other vice admirals to Vegapunk's lab."

"Alright. Leave it to me."

"So that's the gist of it." said ramiris.

"This is quite interesting. We need to acquire that devil fruit at all costs. It will be a huge help in our adventure." said Diablo.

"Lets contact guy and the others for now"

"Yes you do that ramiris. Meanwhile I will go and find the best opportunity I can to take that devil fruit."

"Are you sure diablo? You want to go alone? Shouldn't we first tell the others and ask for backup? We don't know hoe strong our opponents are."

"No need to worry. I will take care of this" said diablo with a sly smile 'and will earn praise from rimuru sama' chuckled diablo while thinking this, and then left.

"This seems really weird. There is no mention of such a devil fruit in the memories rimuru shared with us of the manga as well." 

"Right. We need to get this devil fruit. It seems like it will be quite fun." said luminas

"As far as ramiris said, diablo went on his won to take it. We don't need to worry anymore then. He will de his job and bring it to us. We will then decide who should eat it" said guy.

Suddenly his snail rang

"Hiya guy, calling to get status update on the mission" said rimuru cheerfully

"So you finally decide to call huh? Where are you anyway?"

"I will tell you later. Right now just tell me if anything out of ordinary has happened."

"Oho looks like you are serious. Alright then so basically-" guy then explained to him everything. Rimuru then hung up suddenly.

Meanwhile Diablo in the middle of a fight with vice admiral sai-

"Damn you are strong." said Sai, while blocking one of diablo's punches with both his hands.

"And so are you." said diablo, covering his fist in haki to throw another punch.

Sai clenched his fist, and covered it haki as well. This time their punches met, and the clashing wave shattered all the glasses in the room. 

"To your left" shouted Gin, and Sai dodged diablo's kick coming from his left by jumping high in air, then trying to hit diablo with a kick mid air, which he sidestepped, and retaliated with back of his hand. It hit Sai on his haki covered shoulder, and pushed him back. Gin saw this opening and tried punching diablo, which he barely dodged and punched him back, throwing him in the corner.

Sai and diablo were almost equally matched in armament haki, but diablo had an upper hand due to his mastery in observation haki and thousands of years of fighting experience. The only reason he wasn't able to defeat Sai yet was due to him recieving help from Gin, who was adept in observation haki, and basic armament haki. but still it was just a matter of time.

"I will not let this devil fruit fall into the hands of you filthy pirate scum, even if it costs me my life!" 

"You talk too much for a mere bug standing in front of my path to receive praise from Rimuru sama, but do not fret, I will be crushing you shortly" said diablo with an evil smile.

"Don't get too full of yourself you filthy pirate! I swear on my pride as a marine that I will eradicate you and this rimuru scum by my own two hands." shouted Sai, unknown to the fact that he had sealed his fate with this statement of his. Now not even god himself could save him.

Diablo, who was now filled with rage, suddenly released his conqueror's haki to its full extent. The entire room filled with a heavy pressure. Sai was able to manage to still fight even under this pressure, even though it halted his movements a little due to the familiar feeling he felt from it. 

'What is this pressure? It feels so familiar. Oh i know! this was the same kind of eerie dark aura I felt from that devil fruit. Aura of pure darkness, that will consume you fully if you can't handle it. Does that mean that devil fruit is resonating with this pirate? Now I have to stop him from eating it at all costs, otherwise it will create an abomination in the future!' thought Sai.

On the other hand, it was a different story for Gin, who was trembling in fear and was almost about to pass out. Diablo, while taking this opportunity, suddenly launched towards Gin and, with one punch, threw him out of the building, and he fell down below on the ground, crashing loudly. Now diablo was standing right next to the devil fruit.

'Ah! what a sweet aura! I feel like this fruit has some deep connection to me.' while Sai was distracted by Gin falling, Diablo suddenly grabbed the fruit and ate it. And with that the demon who is Darker than darkness itself, the 'Dark flame' Diablo was born.
