Chapter 12

I'm lead into huge room which is to be my so called "bedroom". If you could even call it that! It had a grey aesthetic with a round bed at the back of the room with multiple cushions on it. Steps lead up to the bed and a gorgeous chandelier hung from the centre of the room. Grey-soft material armchairs sat around a table and a uvolshk rug lined the floor. It really was a beautiful room, the most beautiful I had ever seen anyways.

A lady enters the room, she has a tight string of pearls around her neck and wore a grey dress with silver capped heels. Her dress matches my bedroom.

"Hello, I am Zizu of house Chiku. I will be explaining the second part of the Next Queen event."

House Chicku rang a bell, they taught us all the houses and what they could do at school. They could supposedly block a bullet with their skin, a hardskin we called them. But, as she was a high house so she also could control wind too. 

" We call the second part of this event the Next Queen Trials and will go on for 3 months unless a large disturbance occurs, in which case it will be postponed or moved somewhere else. All possible Queens will stay here in the palace to be tested on strength, etiquette and love"

I frown at the last bit.

"Even through the first part of this event already displayed strength, it was shown to the public and we need to test behind closed doors. Also we need to test you girls against one another. For etiquette you will attend balls, dinners and lunches. You must be polite at all times as a new queen must have etiquette. For the final part, love. Now, this part has not happened in a few hundred years but usually we would like for the Prince to actually like the Queen to be in a romantic way. Even though it is an arranged marriage, we still would like them to like or love each other, this will also gain favour of the public which is the main reason why we do this last part. So all of the girls will be trying to woo Prince Axel."

This was a lot to take in but again, I frown at the last part. I mean, he was hot and all and looked like a god and his hair-

JEEZ WHAT WAS I THINKING? I WAS BECOMING A PERV THAT ODETTE WAS BORN TO BE!

I take a few deep breaths and she waits for me to ask any questions. 

"When do the trials start?" I ask politely. 

"They start in two days though the girls will be arriving tomorrow to settle into their new rooms. On the first day of the trials you will all have a meet and greet session."

I nod my head slowly and ask a few more questions before she leaves to return to her "duties".

I lay on the huge round bed and throw all the excessive cushions on the floor. I don't even have time to change before I fall into a deep slumber on the heavenly mattress.
