Bermuda walked down the dark hallway his steps resounding.
Maria! Maria! He called.
A little puff of smoke appeared danced around for a while before growing into a bigger one.
Someone appeared from the mist. Her face was wrinkled in every part and her hair was covered with shades of grey. Her clothes were wet signifying she was in the ocean.
She walked with her long brown stick to Bermuda.
Bermuda looked at her strangely.
Who are you? he asked.
The old lady poked his head with her stick and laughed. You called without knowing whom or what you called.
Bermuda Frowned. Are you Maria? He questioned.
"No. I'm Arilanda". She laughed hysterically.
"Maria is over here". She said raising her arms high.
The whole room faded into a bright furnished Palace.
Bermuda looked around and then back at the old lady. The old lady wasn't there. Instead a young beautiful lady dressed in white and golden linen gown, replaced her.
Bermuda admired closely, surprised.
"I am Maria". The lady said smiling.
Bermuda smiled back. "Who was that old lady?
The lady laughed back at his question and then frowned.
"Was my magic too much, Or you are just trying to mock me? Don't you know? She walked closer to him.
"I would never mock you my fair lady". Bermuda replied grabbing her hand.
She smiled and stepped closer resting her other hand on his chest.
Bermuda looked her in the eye. he felt a little shock go through his body as his memories made a flash back.
He immediately threw her hands pushing her away.
The lady laughed at his reaction. "So now you can tell. I guess you truly are a god".
Bermuda's marks began glowing. His irises colour changed to tinted gold.
The lady's eyes beamed at him. Do you want to put up a fight? right now?
Bermuda waved his hands and a stream of air flashed towards her eyes it hits a glass cup beside her and she watched in horror as it's top half slid from the lower half. It was slit in two by the stream of air.
She grinned and clapped her hands.
The whole palace got dark and Bermuda could'nt see a thing.
"When you're ready to say. I'll let you go". Her voiced echoed through out the Palace.
Where am I? he asked. His voice echoed.
Where am I he screamed? His voice echoed back again.
He took a step forward but immediately turned back he felt emptiness and it was like he was going to fall.
"Hey I'm ready". He said.
What took you so long? the lady replied. Stepping out of the void.
The darkness was slowly enveloped by a bright light.
Bermuda dimmed his eyes to compensate for the bright light. He opened his eyes.
The whole place had now transformed to a garden.
Who are you? Bermuda asked politely, this time.
"That's much better". She replied smiling. "I'm Arlanda the formless. I'm a goddess of illusion. The most powerful illusionist this universe have ever seen. As you can see I can manipulate your mind as much as I wish to. Why did you come here?
"I need your service" . Bermuda said. Assuming his original character.
"I'm not your follower, I haven't pledged alliance to you and I don't intend to do so. I serve no one."
Bermuda frowned. "Ok I need your help" .
"That's more like it". She replied.
What do you want?
"This person". He said bringing out a paper from under his belt.
She collected the paper and looked.
The name "Tinawa" slowly appeared.
"Tinawa". She said.
You can read it? Bermuda asked amazed.
"It was written with an illusionist spell. Of course I will read it". She said feeling the paper with her fingers as her eyes rolled out.
This name is special. only one child in the world has this name. It's been long since I saw a person bearing the name of a god.
Is he a god?
"My teacher says he is but I don't think. I want to know everything about him".
She raised her hands and touched the name. She closed her eyes.
"He's a young god but very old too. He is... he is.. Someone is blocking me. But I know. He's above".
What is he doing up there ? He said shocked
"He's In a small deserted island and there's trouble for him. A god slayer is also on that island." She replied with no tint of pity.
"I think it'll be much better to let it do the job". Bermuda said walking out.
"It's best you go there if you want to kill him. I doubt the god slayer will harm him. I sensed great powers." She advised.
Thank you. Bermuda said frowning.
"You're welcome". She said disappearing into a mist.
Realizing that he was still in an illusion. Wait!... Bermuda screamed. "How do I get out of this place".
"Just keep walking the way you entered and you'll be out". She said her voice echoing from every corner.
Bermuda didn't trust her words. But with the situation he was in he realised he'd run out of options.
Bermuda walked for a long time till the whole place dissapeared into a marketplace.
He smiled recognising the place. He touched someone to confirm it wasn't an illusion. Then ran to his Palace to deliver his information.
He ran for a while before taking up to the skies. He used the water around him to refract and bend light around him making him invisible.
He smiled. can he also do this? He thought referring to Tinawa.
Bermuda got to the Palace but was greeted by an army of commanders.
He looked at Antyrus who sat on the throne next to his.
The commanders knelt and bowed before him. Bermuda raised his hand signifying they should rise.
What's wrong? He asked walking to his throne.
"We now know our true enemy". Antyrus said. "And we know he's coming soon to take over your kingdom. The one we have used so much in building".
Bermuda frowned. "I went there and she said some not nice words". Bermuda said sitting on his throne.
And.. Antyrus replied urging him to continue.
"She said he's a young god but very old. He is special. "
Antyrus frowned too.
"Perhaps is he the rival we face". Bermuda asked looking him in the eye.
"Yes. He's Tinawa a born of the seas". The words resounded and echoed throughout the hall. This sparked up murmurs from the army.
Then I'll go pay him a visit. Bermuda said.
You know where he is? Antyrus asked.
"Yes the lady told me" Bermuda whispered.
"He's on an island above. She told me a god slayer is on that island too."
The army heard this and stopped their murmur.
Questions steered up again in the palace and the rumbling continued.
Silence! Antyrus thundered.
Silence reigned once again in the Palace.
"Now we know of our enemy I suppose we make out strategic planning of expanding our dynasty rather than creating momentum for rumours.
Bermuda I trust you now. Go and find him.
