He is no more the foolish, reckless boy whose world begins and ends with love.

Wei Ying looked at his image again to secure nothing was amiss and then picked up his tie.

At the Party--

When he stepped into the lawn with radiant light adorning every part, his long hair pinned into a ponytail and the vibrant blue of his attire, instantly drew everyone's attention to his beautiful face.

Soon Wei Ying was surrounded by his friends.

Wen Qing , Cheng , Haikuan --all of them rolled in laughter. Their excited voices filled the air. Wei Ying joined them but he couldn't take an active part in their conversation which he at other times would have.

Soon Haoxuan came and Wei felt happy to see him. He wanted to talk to someone and in his life Haoxuan was that one person to whom Wei Ying can share his deepest sorrows.He had always been a great friend. In Lan Zhan's absence he had always stood as a rock by his side. And he understood Wei Ying.

The ceremony was a post wedding party of  Haikuan's cousin brother. Almost every respectable family from Lotus Pier was invited.

Wei Ying gently nodded at some of the smiling faces he knew. He wanted to talk with Haoxuan in private, but with so many people around it was impossible. So Wei Ying made his way through the crowd and was soon standing right in front the brook.

The light from the decoration reflected in the calm water and he stared at the scenic beauty, inhaling the breeze. He wanted to breathe in the silence for a while.

The water below casted a silvery sparkle as the rising moon drifted its shadow on it.

Wei Ying took small steps and slowly walked on the bridge, his  brown pupils staring at the water below--with a half amazed--and half saddened expression, as he watched the water ripple.

It's hard to erase memories...

And what was everything now, except fragments ?

( In the Past)

"Lan Zhan --  why do you want everybody to hate you? Why don't you speak what you want to ? "

Wei Ying pulls and Lan Zhan turns around to face him.

His brilliant face a colour of thousand tales.

Wei Ying's voice foreshadow  pain.

"I dont know what's it ...but whatever it is, it's not hate Lan Zhan ! I can never hate you--I can't----"

"Let others fall in the act of taking you as prude and heartless -- but not me. You can't deceive me "

( Present )

Wei Ying looks at the water and he returns to the present. Everything around him recalls, this was the place where the magical seal took place.

That moment when Lan Zhan stops--turns around & kisses him --it was Wei Ying's first kiss and it was no less than a fairy tale.

At that time Wei Ying thought it to be his dream. He couldn't believe it could be real...

That Lan Zhan was real.

But now --?

Now he knows there could be nothing more real than that --it was as true as his sorrow was now. And Nothing could be more painful than his broken heart.
