Travelling to new lands

Episode 6: Stakeout

In the cornfield Hop-pop gasps and yells "My prize-winnin' corn!" 

"Hold up, You've won prizes?" Pika asked surprised 

"It's an expression, Pika. What are you, the fact police?" Hop-pop explained, 

Pika then flips him off which confused Hop-pop but then sprig spoke up "The injustice! The outrage! We've gotta catch this thief!" 

"Agreed. And it's nice to see you so passionate about produce, Sprig" Hop-pop comments 

"Yes. Very odd" Polly adds 

"If the thief stole once, it'll steal again. The only way to catch this monster is a stakeout" Sprig suggests 

"I like steak." Polly says 

"Good idea" Hop-pop agreed 

"Polly, not that kind of stake but I like the idea Sprig" Pika agreed 

"And the only ones who can do it are... Pika and Hop Pop!" Sprig explained 

"Say wha?" Pika asked 

"Huh?" Hop-pop spat out 

"Well, I obviously can't... because I have the attention span of a... Oh, look at that." Sprig explained before getting distracted by a small butterfly flying by 

"Why not Hop Pop and Polly? Seems like a winning combo to me plus i have a shit attention spand as well" Pika asked 

"Polly's a baby, Pika" Hop-pop explained annoyed 

"Just asking, Hop Pop. Fucking hell" Pika groaned, 

Hop-pop sighs "Very well. Let's be honest though. Pika'll probably fall asleep and it'll just be me" 

"Why would I fall asleep first? Aren't you like 100 years old?" Pika argued 

"I'm a crisp 68!" Hop-pop argued back, 

while Pika and Hop-pop argued Polly ask Sprig "You stole the corn, didn't you?" 

"Oh, absolutely. But now those two have to spend the whole night together and bond!" Sprig just straight up admits 

"Sprig, you can't manipulate people like this!" Polly scolded 

"I can, and I did. And it's going to save this family" Sprig argued

Later that day

Sprig is rummaging under his hammock bed when he found his telescope, he places it in front of his window and looks though it to see Pika and hop-pop setting up for a stakeout "Just look at 'em. And now to watch the flowers of friendship bloom." Sprig comments, polly groans at that

At night with Hop-pop and Pika

Pika is reading with a candle on which annoyed Hop-pop "For goodness' sakes, Pika, put that lamp out. We're trying to catch the thief, not scare it away" He whispered 

"It's not like we're invisible to the thief without the light" Pika whispered sarcastically then they blow the candle out, 

after a bit of silence Pika yawned, which Hop-pop chuckles and says "Had a feeling you wouldn't last" 

Pika glared at him "Worry about yourself. I'll be fine. I just need a little boost is all" Pika says as they pull out a 2 litre bottle of Pepsi Max, 

hop-pop looked at the bottle "'Pepsi Max. The drink that has the same taste but no sugar.' Hah! That silly drink won't keep you up! Now, this will keep you up" Hop-pop laughed as he pulled out a teapot that looked like it was screaming
