"Hello?" Kaeya asked, waving his hand in the air. There he was, with another girl. Geez. I hid behind the wall so I could watch their encounter. And of course, eavesdrop. Diluc walked into the main room with wine in his hand. "The usual?" Diluc asked, grabbing a nearby glass. "Please" Kaeya replied, stroking the new chick's greasy hair. Gross.

"So, you think I wouldn't notice?" Kaeya starts off. It took everything in me to not gasp like a cheesy character in a really cheesy TV show. "Notice what?" Diluc asked in return, neatly wiping the glass before pouring the delicious crimson liquid. Just watching it perfectly coat the glass made my mouth water. "That you hired Y/n. I have seen her come in here more often than she has ever been. Did you know she doesn't drink? So obviously, I put two and two together." Kaeya brags, sitting back in the stool like he solved a murder case. He has not changed huh? "She was in need of a job. Since Charles quit, I naturally offered her one." He replied, now sliding the glass in front of Kaeya. "She's lazy you know. That's why she was fired." Kaeya smirks, sipping the wine maliciously. He knows that's not true, he probably doesn't want to admit that he got his shit rocked. It's kinda funny that he's trying to lie when Diluc already knows what went down.

"If you're gonna talk shit, you can leave. I shouldn't have even let you come in here." Diluc says, firmly. "Relax man. What has gotten stuck up your ass?" Kaeya jointed back in shock.

Diluc sighed before aggressively slamming his hands on the bar in front of Kaeya. The girl next to him, jumped a bit. Kaeya leaned back from the aggression, confused by the encounter.

"Watch your mouth." Diluc said, slowly and sternly. He turned back towards the back of the tavern where I was strategically hiding. "You're into her, huh?" Kaeya asks, mockingly. Diluc pauses. Without turning around, he just replies with a "get out". Kaeya grabbed his girl and left without another word escaping his lips.

"Diluc?" I asked, going to comfort him. He turned away from me, obviously still pissed off. I decided to give him space and took over most of the work.

After closing, I went to go walk home when I was ambushed by Kaeya. Talk about anxiety inducing. "My brother, huh? That's low even for you." Kaeya mocks, stopping me in my tracks. He is really good at running his mouth. I didn't know if Diluc was ready for any type of relationship. And I still didn't know if I was either. And I'm sure he doesn't want Kaeya to be on his ass about this.

"You're mistaken. We are just friends. He offered me a job after you caused me to lose mine. And you shouldn't be saying I'm low for just getting a job." I said, making intense eye contact. "Especially when you're the one who cheated on me."

I walked away like I was the Vennessa. I felt like a queen after retaliating. Kaeya didn't dare to fight back, he knew he would lose. He knows he made a mistake. And he will never have me ever again.

Because as far as I'm concerned,

I'm Diluc's.
