"Just try it. Maybe deep down, you may actually need it.
Jeremy looked at the coloring book. It was a Blues Clues coloring book. The crayons that he had was a sixty-four pack. He knew he could trust Michael so he knew he wouldn't laugh if he did start coloring out the book. Just thinking about what could happen is just embarrassing though.
Michael crouched down in front of him. "Would you like me to help you pick a page? I won't judge you for anything. If it was on that list, plus I already know about it, I won't judge you for doing anything like this. As I said, it takes away from the stress." Jeremy was sitting on the floor looking up slightly at Michael.
"I don't know if I'll like this. I'm not good at coloring either." Jeremy claimed.
Michael chuckled at that. "It doesn't matter if you are good at it or not. If you are happy doing it, then do it. I remember you used to love coloring. Especially WHILE watching Blues Clues." Michael picked up the book. "So I will flip through the pages and you tell me which one you want to color out of."
Jeremy started to feel strange since his best friend is literally flipping through pages of a coloring book for him. It would be different if they were flipping pages of a textbook. Yet, this is a coloring book. While Michael was flipping through pages, Jeremy was watching through the pages until he found one he liked. He pointed to a page with Magenta and Blue sitting next to each other. "That one is fine..."
Michael nodded and gave the book to Jeremy who is obviously embarrassed. "Would you like me to leave the room for a bit?"
"N-no it's okay. You can stay." Michael smiled and sat on the beanbag. Jeremy was hesitantly opening the box of crayons. Michael watched him fumble up a few times.
"Would you like some help?" Questioned Michael. Jeremy shook his head no and continued to fumble opening the box. The box is one of the boxes where you are supposed to rip the top so it is easier to get to.
Michael ignored Jeremy's motion and went over to open the box for him. Once again, Jeremy felt funny when Michael opened a box for him. It was a simple thing to do and he was messing it up. His head started to feel funny. He just covered his face and said, "Uhm...I can take of rest. I mean take care of the rest."
Michael heard him fumble up the words a bit in a slightly high pitch and smiled and went back to where he was before.
Jeremy couldn't understand how he was feeling. He took out some pink and blue crayons with an embarrassed face and started coloring. While coloring he got lost in trance seeing the colors end up on paper. Right now, he was coloring Magenta with pink colors.
"Do you want some Blues Clues on while you color, Bud?" Jeremy looked at Michael and slightly shook his head yes then went back to coloring. He didn't know why he couldn't say yes. He was in trance from the paper. His head was also feeling kind of fuzzy. He didn't know how to explain it.
Michael put in the DVD and it started showing Blue's Big Musical. Jeremy looked up remembering this movie from his early childhood. Which made his head feel even fuzzier. He continued working on his masterpiece. He was slipping up on some of the lines and going over them. He still thought he was coloring his masterpiece.
He finished coloring Magenta and started coloring Blue. By this time Perriwinkle made his first appearance on the screen thinking that it was going to be a magic show instead. Jeremy brought his arm he wasn't using for coloring and started chewing on his sleeve. Which is something he never does. Michael noticed it and took out one of the next items that were in the box. He opened the package and went to Jeremy.
"Hey, hun. Sleeves aren't meant to be eaten. I have something else for you." Jeremy tilted his head to the side. Michael held out a paci with a blue dinosaur. "Here." Jeremy opened his mouth and Michael popped the paci in. Jeremy started chewing on the paci instead of sucking on it which Michael slightly laughed at. "Why don't you try sucking on it instead of chewing on it?" Jeremy did what Michael said and relaxed a bit more. "Would you want to stay here for the night?" Michael smiled.
Jeremy immediately shook his head yes. Which earned another chuckle from Michael. "Alright, Let me call your dad and let him know. I'll be upstairs for a few minutes, okay?" With that, Michael went upstairs for a minute. He had a sippy cup also upstairs so he went to go grab it. Michael called Jeremy's dad to tell him that Jeremy was taking a shower over there and told him he was staying the night. When he got off the phone he fixed Jeremy some apple juice and brought it down to him.
"I thought you might be thirsty. "He crouched in front of Jeremy and set the cup in front of him.
"Thankies!" Jeremy said in a high-pitched voice. Well, Michael now knows for a fact that he fully slipped. "Sweet pea, how old are you right now?" Jeremy thought for a moment before holding three fingers up. "Good job, bud!" Michael ruffled Jeremy's hair which earned him a giggle from little Jeremy.
Michael smiled and blushed at his friend's giggles. He thought it was adorable seeing him like this. His heart could not take so much adorableness.
