Tiger in a shell

A snail in a shell that's what they
Want to see for you will not be–
A tiger in their eyes but a fragile
puppet who walks under dark sky's
You will not speak your mind
Only tape it shut if you wish not to be cut,
They are pleased when you are quiet
But let you start to splash colors wildfires
sneaking through the cracks, vines crawling
Sun illuminating repugnant they feel, my dear
But you are the bravest your heart wants to
Tear out of your flesh your tongue is the hidden
Sword and your words let them be, may they be
The bullet the dagger that'll not change a way
But give them time to change for better days–
Because people do not change easily, like plants
They take time to grow like seasons they take months and years to visit to come around and
Sadly Truthfully Sometimes they don't change at all.
