To create realistic mirages- let alone those of living creatures- is a task most mirage type 1 and 3 users spend the vast majority of their lives learning.
When Koda first developed his ability, he showed the same symptoms that any other mirage 3 user would manifest: Internal visual and auditory mirages, dizziness; and the standard raw visual/auditory forms.
His talent in the ability was only realized when he manifested an extremely detailed mirage of a deer- something no ordinary elementary rank student should be able to do.
Since then, Koda has gone on to develop his ability- mainly the visual aspect- and create even more detailed mirages; from locations, objects, living creatures; and even Entities and fellow Inhabitants.
While his usage of this ability may be... "childish" to an extent (kid loves pulling pranks), they are relatively harmless and provide practice for the (now) middle rank student.
