Clay will always be an important character to me, and I'm sure most WOF fans can agree on this. He was the dragon that introduced us to this series through his POV (If you read book 1 first.). I will say this, I think he was a great way to introduce people to the series. We can see so much about his character and personality through the one book we get of him. He is always willing to cheer up his friends, and would happily put himself out there to protect them, even though he admits, he is not a fighter. We can see this side of him in arena, where he happily offers to put his life on the line so his friends don't have to. He even jumped in front of a deadly snake, taking a bite from it, almost dying, to save his friends. He sees the best in people, or at least he tries to. He gave Peril a second chance... and I think that was really nice.
