*:·゚✧ CHAPTER FOUR. heaven on earth

WE RACE BACK to our abandoned bikes, and instead of biking along the pavement, Carmen and I decide to debrief on the last ten minutes.

"What did the divinity say?" I mumble, trying to piece together everything at three A.M.

"When? At the end?" Carmen responds.

"Yeah."

"We'll find other gods like her over time when we need them most."

"What?"

"The gods will come to us when we need them."

"Oh, okay. I guess that'll be helpful."

We're finding new places and apparently new beings, but some areas in Caeruleus are ultimately detrimental and hazardous. For example, the Forest of the Sirens consists of a long strip of trees guarding the coastline bordering the western Caeruleus Ocean.

A small group of residents resides in a small trailer park near the forest, only updating their experience on a collective blog they all share.

Regardless, the Forest of the Sirens is known to be a permanent dwelling for ghosts and sirens alike.

The enchantresses guard the shore while ghouls rest their heads in the branches, but we might accidentally end up in a place like that forest.

Following Carmen, I can discern that she resonated with Born To Die, the divinity of rebirth and transformation. The echoes of every word she said replay through my mind constantly, but so does Carmen's expression while watching the deity.

Awestruck is an understatement.

After the experience finished, Carmen has barely spoken, and it's obvious why.

It's something that goes unsaid; Carmen resonated with Born To Die. It'll probably happen to me when I inevitably meet another deity when I need them the most. Finally, our bikes screeched on the pavement, signaling the end of our journey.

"Did you go in circles? I can see Blue Jeans Beach from here, and Summertime Sadness Beach is basically touchable," I mention.

"Yeah, it looked like you were deep in thought," Carmen reasons.

"I was."

"You were?" Carmen adds.

"I was thinking about where we are; why did we barely go anywhere?"

"I went in circles around Off To The Races High School." Carmen answers.

"Oh, okay," I stammer.

My eyelids become heavy as the wintertime breeze surrounds me while we arrive at the entrance of Chemtrails Country Club.

"What do we do, break-in?" I ask.

Carmen nods her head reluctantly, knowing what she just agreed to.

A list of events that can possibly happen in my mind, and they're all unfavorable.

I have done and will do many things, but I refuse to break into Chemtrails Country Club.

Unfortunately, the owners of this property presumably have cameras disguised everywhere, so I don't wanna risk going to jail twice, so we have to think of another way to get into For Free Flower Forest.
