Since moving to his own apartment, Friday nights always follow the same routine for Kim Namjoon.
Once 9 o'clock hit, he would order himself fried chicken — which would sometimes end up being plain chicken breast if he was on a diet— and pull out a can of beer from his fridge as soon as the chicken came. Namjoon would then turn off every notification on his phone, except for the groupchat with his members and his parents, for the rest of the night. After eating, he would turn off every light except the one right beside his bed to read whatever book he was reading until he wanted to fall asleep.
He's stuck with this routine for the past few months, following it to a tee each week, obviously except the Fridays he works.
Which is why his doorbell ringing as he started to turn off the lights of his apartment was surprising.
He was even more surprised to see Mason on the other side of his door.
He seemed to be fine, no red eyes from crying or visible signs of an oncoming panic attack. But, he did look a bit worn out as sweat made his body glisten in the light, which Namjoon figured it was because he just came from working out.
