I arched my body into a small bow, "Kaito Kazuya. Pleasure to meet you, sir" Dr Sakaki smiled, "Well, we'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on. Welcome aboard" He turned back to his screens, tapping away rapidly at the keyboards, "Now then, as you can see I'm still pretty busy getting prepared. Johannes, why don't you get your business out of the way first?" My attention shifted to the man who had been standing beside Dr Sakaki's chair the whole time. The Director of Fenrir's Far East Branch. Seeing him up close now, his straight and clean cut locks of blond hair, stern educated eyes, his hands behind his back in a stiff posture, I felt my body stiffen up again. I had thought Tsubaki had an air of importance but him...his very presence was like an order.

"Dr Sakaki, I think it's high time you learned to separate business from private matters" the Director turned and focused his piercing gaze on me, "Thank you for taking the Aptitude Test. My name is Johannes Von Schicksal. I'm in charge of the Fenrir Branch in this region. Congratulations again on passing the test. I expect great things from you"
"He's a former techie too you know" Dr Sakaki spoke up, his eyes leaving his screens temporarily with a sly smile on his lips, "The New-Types' medical checkups interest you to no end, right Johannes?". The Director narrowed his eyes, speaking as-a-matter-of-factly, "I decided to retire as a techie because we have you. Keep that in mind" I gulped silently. That sounded to me like a threat. But Dr Sakaki was unfazed, either oblivious or chosing to ignore the fact completely, with his shrewd smile growing wider, "Did you really ever retire though?"
Director Schicksal sighed inwardly, seemingly tired of the banter, before turning to face me again, "Now then, this is where the real fun starts. Let me explain the Fenrir Corporation's objectives once more. Your direct duties are very simple. They are to keep the Aragami in this region at bay...and to gather materials, which are then converted into resources needed to maintain this advanced base, as well as to complete the impending 'Aegis Project'". I raised a brow, "The Aegis Project?"
