chris looks over at me and gives me big puppy eyes, "pleeease ariana i've been so nice to you lately," he says, probably getting ready to ask if we can do something i've sworn off from doing.
"what do you want now chris" i reply, knowing the answer is going to be something not very agreeable for me,
"can i teach you how to skateboard?" chris replies while continuing to look at me with puppy eyes.
i roll my eyes and immediately answer with a hard no.
"whyyyy nooott!" chris asks, enunciating his words.
i sigh, "you know why, i am not breaking my arm AGAIN."
"it won't be like last time i promise, i'll hold your hands this time, i don't believe in cooties anymore!" chris begs.
you see, a while ago chris took me out skating and i wasn't the best at it, so when i was falling chris just stood and watched because he didn't want to touch me and get my "girl cooties."
"fine. promise you will catch me if i fall?" i ask, giving in to his suggestion.
"always." he replies with a genuine smile.
