Second chapter, Bill finally appears in it! I'm also including a picture of Bill in the chapter so you can see what he looks like...if you didn't already...but you probably did :)
Okay, enjoy this chapter!
---------------------------------------------

There was a dense layer of fog covering the ground as you, Dipper, and Mabel walked through the forest. It was cold, and there was a spine-chilling breeze that whipped through the trees, sending shivers up your back. But the temperature wasn't the only thing making you shiver. You were still worried about the glitching on your phone earlier, and the message. Maybe Dipper would have something about it in his journal?

"Hey, Dipper?" You asked, breaking the silence. You didn't make eye contact, just kept walking as you explained what had happened. "Then when I looked at my phone the screen was glitching and white words came across it that said 'I am watching you'," you finished. You snuck a look at Dipper, who had stopped walking.

"Y/n," he said, his tone deathly serious, "have you been having any weird dreams lately? Strange visions?"

You thought for a moment. To be honest you hadn't had any dreams at all for the last few days. "No," you said. Dipper shook his head. "Just wondering. I don't know anything about what it could be, but maybe just be more careful? Until we figure this out," he added, and you nodded. Mabel skipped over to you and poked your cheek. "Boop! Turn that frown upsidown!" She sang.

You giggled and gave her a grin, and she smiled back as the three of you kept going. You were deep into the forest by now, and you had no idea where you were. "So where are we exactly?" You asked.

"It says that a necklace made of citrine lies somewhere in this forest. The journal says that citrine is a stone of light and happiness. It does not hold any negative energy and therefore never needs to be cleansed," Dipper read aloud from the red leather-covered journal, "it brings clarity to those who wear it and helps to manifest anything you want to bring into your life. It activates your imagination, bringing more creative visions to a clearer mind and a more positive outlook in life. Powered by the sun, citrine warms, cleanses and energizes the body, energizing and strengthening the solar plexus." He closed the book with a snap and shifted his gaze back up to you. "We think someone is out to get the citrine stone necklace and destroy it."

"Which means?" You asked. You still didn't know what was bad about this. If someone needed enlightenment that much, maybe they should have the necklace.

"It means if whoever this evil person is that's trying to get the citrine stone finds it, they can use it to protect one person rather than all the life in the forest, which it does now," Dipper said. "If the necklace is put under a spell, which only certain beings can cast, the power can be centered around only one life form."

You nodded, finally understanding. The wildlife of Gravity Falls was depending on the citrine stone. "So where is it hidden? Do we know?"

"No. But I'm guessing somewhere in the ground or something," Dipper sighed, "we're in the center of the forest, so it has to he around here somewhere." He and Mabel began searching, looking under rocks and in logs. You stared up at the giant pine tree in front of you. There was what looked like a carved out door encased inside the trunk. Could this be it?

"I think I found something," you shouted. No answer. You turned around and realized that you had wandered off. Dipper and Mabel were nowhere in sight. You groaned, knowing you had a bad sense of direction. How were you going to find your way back to the center? You decided to at least try and began walking forward. Well, at least what you thought was forward. It wasn't long before you came across a rock cave.

Curiosity got the best of you and you peered inside. It looked like it was empty, only a large black rock in the center atop a pile of dead leaves. You began walking out of the cave when your foot went on top of a twig and it snapped, echoing.

Now you knew the cave wasn't empty.

Low growling followed you as you raced through the forest. You had no idea what was chasing you. Was it a bear? A wolf? Whatever it was, it was fast and hungry. You felt yourself slip over the wet rocks and leaves under you and you fell sideways, hitting your head on a low tree branch. You watched in horror the black creature going up on its hind legs, growling. The blood roared in your ears and your head screamed. You had never been so scared. You closed your eyes and braced yourself for your death.

But it never came.

When you finally forced yourself to open your eyes there was nothing in front of you. No creature, no rock cave. Just the pine tree from before. You scrambled to your feet, breathing hard. "Mabel?!" You yelled. Your throat burned from running. "Dipper?!"

The twins emerged out of the forest and you stuck out a hand, guesturing towards the pine tree and the small carved door. "A tree," Dipper gasped, "of course! It's high up so it can reach all places." He hoisted himself on to a branch and began climbing with the help of an extra boost from Mabel. He pried the door open with his fingers and grabbed something before shimmying down the tree trunk. He held up a black stringed necklace with an orange translucent stone tied to it. A smile was across his face. "Got it."

As you trudged home with Mabel and Dipper, all three of you super-tired, Dipper handed you the necklace. "Maybe you should hold onto it," he suggested, "I can't because it's too dangerous. Too many people know I'm up to something. Plus you have your own apartment, so you can find a good hiding spot."

"Good idea," you said, and then took the necklace from him. You slipped it over your head and then dropped the stone down your shirt so the string was the only thing that could be seen. "I'll keep it with me just in case."

Dipper and Mabel walked you home, and you waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow!" You smiled and watched them walk away. You went inside and climbed the stairs. Your muscles still ached from running so fast for so long. What even happened back there?

When you finally reached your room, you went inside and locked the door behind you. You kicked off your shoes and sat down on the couch. You grabbed the remote and tried to turn on the TV, but the screen stayed black. You kept clicking the button over and over until you noticed everything turning to greyscale.

You stood, scared, and then a white light appeared. Using your hand you covered your eyes until it dimmed. When you finally looked, you were faced with a yellow pyramid-looking triangle wearing a top hat and bow tie. He floated there, hands on his sides. "Y/n!" He said, extending both arms. His voice had a strange twang to it and it echoed as if there was more than one of him speaking.

"H-how do you know my name?" You asked, trying to sound calm.

"I know lots of things!" The yellow triangle said, "lots of things." He floated closer to you. "I also know you have the citrine stone! That's why I want to make a deal with you."

"A deal?" You said, your voice sounding more confident than you were feeling, "I don't even know who you are."

The triangle blinked his one big eye and laughed. "Bill Cipher," he said, sticking his hand out for a shake. You took it uncertainly and then took a step back. "My friend told me to not let anyone have it," you said strongly, "so I'm sorry."

"Pine Tree said that? Whatever," Bill said, sounding annoyed at the mention of your friend, "you owe me, y/n. I saved your life back there in the forest."

"That was you?" You asked, surprised. Bill seemed untrustworthy, but he was so nice. Why would he want the citrine stone? "Here's my deal," Bill continued, "you give me the stone and I'll do something for you in return. Anything you like!"

"Sorry," you shook your head, "I can't do that. Dipper is trusting me with this. Leave me alone."

Bill's eye narrowed. "I won't stop, y/n," he said, voice serious, "I will get the citrine stone. And I won't leave you alone unil I get whatever else I want." And with that, he disappeared, everything around you going back to its regular colour and leaving you standing there trying to process what just happened.
