I knock on Walker's front door. Leena answers.
"Hey, Leena!"
"Hi. They're upstairs." She says.
"They?"
"Oh, Lexi's here too."
I nod and go upstairs to Walker's room.
"Walkerrr," I say.
"Kadyyyy."
Walker is sitting on his bed next to Lexi. They're very close to each other...
"What are you guys doing?" I ask, sitting next to Walker.
"Walker is letting me borrow a book. I was just about to leave." She looks up at me.
"Cool."
She closes the book and stands up.
"Okay, thanks, Walker. Bye." She smiles.
"Bye," Walker says.
I give her a small wave as she leaves.
Walker turns to me.
"You've been hanging out with her a lot-"
"Yeah. I...I kinda like her."
"What?" I gape at him.
"Is something wrong with her?" He asks, confused by my reaction.
"N-no. No, nothings wrong with her."
"Okay, well...do you not like her?"
"She's fine." I shrug.
"What's wrong then?"
"It's just...never mind."
"Kady..."
"Stop. Just drop it. She's great. I'm happy you like her. You guys would be great together!"
I stand up and walk out of his room.
"Kady!"
I ignore him and run outside.
He follows me, "It's raining."
"So?" I keep walking.
"You're gonna get wet."
I roll my eyes.
"Kady!" He grabs my arm.
I turn around.
"Why are you acting like this?"
He stares at me. What the hell am I supposed to say? I can't tell him now. He likes someone else...I guess Leena was wrong.
I start crying, not knowing what else to do.
