Chapter 6

“HEY, you okay?” Sir Sancho asked and I shook my head.

My hands are trembling. Sir took the juice from me and hold my hand when he notice my uneasiness. If I'm in a different situation, kikiligin na sana ako. But I'm so nervous to even think about it. Instead, naiiyak ako sa frustration!

I saw Dash take Zeus to the table. Zeus was staring at me intently, inilingan ko siya.

“County,” he called my name with a serious tone when they came near us.

“You knew him?” Sir Sancho curiously asked as his forehead are folded,  he was still holding my hand. Zeus smirks when he heard it.

“Of course. She's my...”

“Ex!” I shouted, cutting him off and his brows meet. Tumayo ako at hinila na si Sir paalis na hindi lumilingon. Bahala na.

Nakalabas kami ng bar at doon lang ako nakahinga. I didn't know that I'd been holding my breath until we were outside. Sir look at me completely confused pero hindi siya nagsalita. Sumakay kami sa kanyang sasakyan at umalis. I was staring outside the window during the whole ride. I sighed.

“So, you still like him,” Sir said, sounding so sure.

Nilingon ko si Sir na nalilito. He was still looking in front kahit hindi na umaandar ang sasakyan. I was so preoccupied that I didn't even notice that we're already outside in my apartment.

“H-huh?” I answered him confused. I saw him clench his jaw. Galit na naman.

“Zeus,” he added.

Right, my EX! I don't know how to answer him so I stayed silent. He looks at me with a stoic expression. His dark eyes are staring at me...

“Ang gwapo mo po, Sir,” I unconsciously said.

Dapat sa isip ko lang iyon, eh! Tanga-tanga Athena! I saw how his stoic expression was replaced with amusement.

“Stop calling me that,” utos nito sa'kin.

“C-calling you what, po?” ayaw niya bang tinatawag na gwapo? May tao palang ayaw ng compliment. Bumusangot ako. Ang humble naman niya kung ganun.

“Sir and using po,” he simply replied, still staring at me. Mukhang hindi na siya galit.

“But you are my boss...”

“Exactly. So do what I said,” he said with finality in his voice.

Why so bossy, Sir Sancho? Although I don't mind. I will gladly oblige his ruling wholeheartedly.

“Okay...” I would like to call him by his name, too. 

But next time, I'll call him baby, or babe, love, and Abunjing bunjing na! With that thought, kinikilig ako!

“Pumasok ka na,” utos nito sa'kin. Tipid akong ngumiti at tumango.

Gusto ko pa siyang makasama at kulitin pero the sudden interaction with Zeus tire me. Nagtitigan kami ng isang saglit at nang hindi ko na makayanan ang mga nakakatunaw niyang titig ay iniwas ko na ang tingin ko. Kahit nakaupo ako ramdam ko kung paano nanlalambot ang aking mga tuhod. Aside from my parents, siya lang ang may kayang gawin sa'kin 'to.

I remove the seatbelt and before I can open the door in his car, nagsalita ulit siya.

“County... I don't know who is Zeus to you and I don't care if you still have feelings for him, I will erase that. I take back my words when I said that I like to have a secretary who's not attracted to my looks. You're an exception. Starting today, your eyes will only look at me, faultlessly captivated. Be ready because I won't hold back anymore,” he seriously said before he left me, completely shocked. 

My heart beats fast, but he won't hold back in what?

“H-huh? Hindi ako titingin sa iba, paano? Pipikit po ako o mabubulag? Ayaw ko n'yan, Sir. Gusto ko pa pong makita ang pamilya ko kahit nagtatampo pa ako sa kanila,” malungkot kong sambit habang pinagdikit ko ang mga palad ko.

I saw how his forehead wrinkled, gusto niya ba akong mabulag?!

He let out a deep sigh and look at me intently.

“I'm serious, County. Stop joking around, I know that you know what I mean,” he said.

Gosh, I really don't know what to respond. Yes, I like him too but... aamin na rin ba ako?! Eh, nakakahiya! At akala niya na gusto ko pa rin si Zeus eh hindi naman.

Paano ba 'to?!

“You don't you have to say anything, County. Hindi ako nagmamadali, I'm just informing you that I like you and I'll make you feel the same towards me,” he told while staring at my eyes without blinking. Those stares that can woke up the calmness of my heart that was now wildly beating for him.

Nanatili akong tahimik at hindi makapaniwalang nakatitig sa kanya. I never thought that he will like me, I thought my feelings will just be buried in the deepest part of my soul. But he likes me!
