Over the last few days, I had been busy preparing for the beginning of the filming while also mingling and getting to know the other foreign trainees who arrived early. It had been a pretty fun experience for all of us so far. But that was soon going to change. Things would get more arduous, and more strict as filming was just one sleep away. I had finally finished practising my ranking performance after getting it up to a level I was confident in. I estimated I would get a C or B for my ranking. If it was just my vocals, then I was sure I would get an A. But because they also took into account dance and sometimes Rapping too, your ranking would change. I knew I would have to make it up in the second-ranking mission, so was preparing mentally for that and wasn't too worried about my first ranking.
My uncle, trainer and Mr Akimoto had also warned me about Mnet's editing and how they will probably end up using me to draw more Japanese viewers, especially to the program, so I had to be careful about my image and what I said and did. I wasn't too worried and was happy to just be myself, but remain aware of the cameras.
Very soon the day had ended and all of us trainees headed to bed early to make sure we had enough energy for tomorrow as that would be when the filming for the show would start.
The next morning I was awoken by a large amount of noise. I quickly got up and had a peek from behind to curtain. From what I could see, there was a large number of cars and various other vehicles arriving with what I was assuming would be the other trainees. They kept streaming in for a good hour and a half, but it took another hour to have them all fully processed with photos sorted. From there they were given a half-hour rest and settling period before the filming would officially begin. By that time I, and the foreign trainees that were already here, changed and packed our gear back up and headed over to the filming site to be prepared for the beginning.
