I stared into my students determined face. She had a look that exemplified just what a pyrokenetic should be. Daunting, brave, lovestruck- wait, where did that come from.  "Heeelllllooooo Finny!" said the girl's voice, shattering my train of thought. "I thought I told you to never call me that!" I said, snapping at the blonde girl. She wasn't allowed to know who used to call me that... and technically that wasn't her fault- but still! Instead of lecturing her on respect, I shifted my gaze to the other elf in the room. "I see you brought a friend?" "Huh? Oh! This is Lihn, and she's a hydrokenetic." "Hi!" said the girl with bits of silver in her hair. "Lets get to work. Show me your smallest flame, and we'll work from there." "Okay... finny." I groaned, but smiled as she lit up just her index finger. She was getting better! "Decent work, Ella." Marella squinted at me. "Fair." she said. "Alright, try to set your hand on fire. Be careful." I watched as her brow creased and she began sweating. She was biting her lip and frowning. The flame crawled down her finger, but that's as far as it went. Suddenly, her knees buckled and she collapsed. I let out a small noise of surprise, and the glanced to see if the hydrokenetic had picked up on it. Lihn, had already ran over to Marella's side, and was looking for a pulse. "What did you do to her!?" she yelled.

Authors Note: Heh heh... oh I just did that!
