Chapter 1. Tar Heel Introductions

     I get out of my car struggling with mybags, I take a moment to look aroud at this massive campus wondering to myself how on earth I will find my way around. I then find myself at student services ten minutes later. After what felt like a two hour wait I finally got my key card. As I am walking to my dorm checking the map that student services gave me I run into this guy who was also looking down. Well I would say he ran into me.

"Hey could you maybe get off your phone and watch where you're going please?!" I shout at him picking up everything that was once in my hand.

"Same to you-" He looks up at me then gives me this chilling smirk. I feel as though he takes an awkward amount of time studying my body, I snap my fingers bringing his eyes back up to mine.

"Um Hello? Earth to playboy?" I snap my fingers.

He chuckles then states, "sorry princess my mistake, The names Gavin." He smirks again before holding his hand out to shake mine.

I roll my eyes at him and say, "Please don't call me that, My names Callie." I shake his hand reluctantly. 

"I have to get to my room now, but it wasn't a pleasure having you run into me." I say with a cheeky smile before turning on my heel and walking to my dorm.

     I swipe my key card and enter the room where a younge beautiful brunette is sitting on the kitchen counter eating a fruit roll up.

"Hi! I'm Andy!" she says with a big smile. "My friends call me Andy Kate." She says as she hops down and hugs me.

"Hello, I'm Callie Bradford. My friends call me Cal." I give her a warm smile before walking around the dorm.

     There are a two rooms, a living space, and a kitchenette once I find myself looking around. It's very spacious considering they expect four people to stay here all year. I'm very happy with the space and I am getting very excited to see my dormmates and get to know them. I have a very good feeling this year is going to be great.

"Do we share these with anyone else or did our Dormmates not show?" I asked sitting my bags down in one room.

"Not sure, no one has come in yet. Maybe we got lucky and it's just us!" She giggles.

"Yeah mayb-" Right before I could finish this tall darker guy walks in with nothing but a gym bag. Andy Kate and I whip our heads to see him holding his key card up to us.

"Don't worry ladies I just live here." He chuckled throwing his hands up in innocence.

     We laughed and waved him in. He noded at us and went to one of the empty rooms. I went to mine and Andy's room to start unpacking. Andy had left the dorm to go get us food so I shut the door and put my airpods in. Once I started my music I began dancing around shamlessly in our room while I unpacked.  After what must have been a good hour of dancing and organising I turn to go to the living room and see a familiar face at my door admiring my body once more.

I yank my headphones out and defensively cry out, "Gavin, what are you doing in my dorm? Did you follow me?!"

"Relax Callie it's my dorm too. No I didn't follow you, although I kinda wish I had." He says with a smirk before glancing at my hips then glances around my room. I quickly get mad figuring he thought as if something would happen between us after his smug comment.

     His eyes flash up to mine once I start shoving past him to go to the living room. He grabs my wrist gently and pulls me to look up at him. I stand there a moment looking up at him searching for his answer to my very obvious accusation, but I get no response he just let's go. I stand there a moment completely confused and at loss for words. I genuinely do not know what to say to him because I am so upset right now.

"I'm sorry Callie, I really didn't know we shared a dorm. Look I'll play nice." He smiles

"Gavin I just met you and I'm already not impressed, how are we going to share a dorm all year long without you hitting on me every five seconds?" I ask then throw myself onto the couch looking up at him.

"Can we start over?" He says whilst looking down at me while sitting on the coffee table.

     He then reached his hand out to shake mine. I stared at him with a dissapointed frown. He glances back up and be and gestures yet again to shake my hand. I shake his and we re-introduce ourselves. As I was about to let go of his hand, In walks Andy Kate and the mystery roommate laughing and talking then they stop and look at us. Andy smirks and say's, "Dang girl you work fast!" everyone but myself laughs and I quickly let go of Gavins hand and go to my room.
