*Beep*
*Beep*
*Beep*
With a groan, I lean over and turn my alarm off on my phone.
A calloused hand rest on my hip, caressing my skin.
"Morning." Damon says, laying his forehead against my back.
"Morning baby."
I turn over and softly kiss him, giggling at him wrinkling his nose up.
"Your breath smells so bad." He says, chuckling.
"Shut up." I mush his face away and get out the bed.
He laughs and turns onto his back.
"Told you not to eat those pickles at 2 am." He says, laughing and rubbing his eyes.
I flick him off and laugh.
I grab my bra and panties off my neatly stacked scrubs and go to the bathroom, starting the shower.
I step in, the warm water falling down my face.
I look down at my hands, watching as the water falls between my fingers.
Something is missing.
I just don't know what it is.
I'm happy, I swear I am but I just feel weird.
Like something is supposed to be here with me.
Or is it someone?
Nah, who would it even be? My boyfriend is right there in bed.
I sigh and lather my Dove soap bar, spreading it all over my skin.
I rinse off and step out the shower, wrapping a towel around my body and around my curls.
"I used the other shower, you were taking to long." Damon says, walking into the bathroom, adjusting his tie.
I look him over, noticing every detail of him.
I love him, I really do.
Is it enough though?
I nod and continue my routine, before throwing on my scrubs.
I lean up and kiss his cheek, hugging him to me as he tightens his arm around my waist.
"Have a great day, baby, see you later. I love you."
"See you later, sweetheart. I love you too." He says, his mouth full of cereal.
I laugh at his chunky cheeks, I grab my jug of water out the fridge before walking up the hall.
I grab my keys off the hook and head out the door.
I hit the button on my car, starting it up as I exited the elevator.
Glancing at the clock on the dash, I have 20 minutes to spare before I have to clock in.
Starbucks it is.
After grabbing me and my coworker drinks from the cafeteria attached to the hospital I work at, I get on the elevator and hit 8.
Walking off the elevator, I tap the code into the back door and walk down the long hall to my office.
"Morning Lyssa." Bre says, sticking her head out of a room she's restocking for clinic.
"Hey, Bre."
"Morning girlie." T says, turning on the hall laptops.
