Ahh, "it's" vs. "its"...Honestly, this one isn't as hard as it seems. The easiest way to explain the difference is this:
"It's" is a conjunction (and ONLY a conjunction) for the words "it is/has".
"Its" shows ownership. It's a pronoun.
Pretty simple, right? Most people might think "it's" would also be used to describe ownership, because that's how it usually works (i.e. Sarah's pen), but in this case, well, that's not the case. "It's" is ONLY a conjunction (two words connected with an apostrophe, like don't, wasn't, etc.), so if you're not sure, just plug it in. Again, "its" is used for ownership. Here's some examples for the two.
It's:
It's important to stay hydrated.
Or
It's been a long day.Its:
Its tail is cute.
Or
I love its aesthetic!Since this one wasn't all that complicated, that's it for this chapter!
