Taylor knew and heard about the meeting. It ended well is what she heard and now a party was being thrown. One that she didn't want to go to and nor did nik. But did they have a choice no. Elijah was in charge of everything right now. She was glad he was peaceful about everything but she also thought he was being an idiot
Just because everyone came to an agreement didn't mean they could survive in one room without fighting. Wolves had a temper, vampires emotions are heightened and witch were sneaky.He was just asking for chaos at this point.
Taylor just sucked it up and threw on the dress he got her. By the time she left her room the party was already at full swing. She could instantly feel the tension in the air. Deciding her best option was to drink tonight away she found herself at the bar of drinks.
Grabbing a drink she took a seat and decided to watch the drama unfold. That was until she saw Haley herself and glared at her.
"Play nice" Nik sat down beside her snagging her drink and giving her a pointed look when she tried to take it back."your not twenty-one yet "
Rolling her eyes she went back to glaring at Haley who walked around as if she owned the place."if she won't pregnant " she mumbled crossing her arms
"Well she is and I see both of you sitting here and deciding to watch from the sidelines instead of mingling" Elijah stood behind the pair wearing a suite like always
"I know just about everyone here, there's nothing to mingle about" she glanced at him amused."also is that a new suite"
"It is thank you for noticing Elaskin " with that Elijah walked off to 'mingle'
"That looks just like all his other suits " Nik rolled his eyes looking at Taylor amused
"Oh I know but i figured he would buy one for this party, they all look the same to me" which they did. Taylor smiled at Nik before getting up"well let's go make Elijah happy and mingle "
"Or we could ditch and say we mingled "
Taylor instantly smirked at the idea. There were way to many people for Elijah to notice to two sneaking out"there's a better option, let's go puppy" she basically dragged Nik outside to escape the party that is doomed to be a failure.
"Since we are dressed up let's go to a restaurant " Nik glanced around at the many shops before pointing towards a fancy restaurant
"Bayona good choice" she mused walking inside followed by Nik
"I always make good choices love"
"No you don't" Taylor instantly shot that down. He never made good choices. Someone always ended up hurt or dead and she knew he only picked the first restaurant he saw
"I can"
"But you don't so hush"
With that they were taken to a table in the back and ordered some food. She stuck with the steak platter while Nik got pasta"didn't take you for a pasta type of guy "
"And what do you take me as " she could tell he was amused by her statement making her roll her eyes
"Maybe a steak guy who eats it raw cause you love the taste of blood. Makes the big bad hybrid feel powerful" she smirked at his annoyed face before digging into her meal.
"Low blow"
"I can go lower"
That's how they spent the night. Just joking back and fourth not at all caring about the party Elijah was hosting and most likely babysitting. They both knew they would get an earful once Elijah figured out they ditched him but the pair didn't care . It would become a battlefield by the end of the night and they didn't feel like dealing with any bullshit
