"Bro come on! We're running late!"
Jeric quickly buttons his polo as his brothers screams from outside his room. Dadalo kasi sila sa opening party ng club just at the second floor of their apartment building. It was currently quarter to nine at late na nga sila.
Bite your face to spite your nose
Seventeen and a half years old
Winelcome naman sila nung staff nang makapasok na sila sa club. The program just ended and now almost everyone was on the dancefloor. Nagkahiwalay naman agad sina Jeron and Jeric dahil may kani-kanila silang group of friends na dumalo din.
It may not look like what it seems but Jeric is the ultimate party animal. He was reckless, loud, often gets drunk when he enters a bar. He has kissed a hundred random strangers as well. All of which are girls. His friends didn't tolerate this kasi ganun din naman sila. Yun nga lang, may matitino nang lovelife at loyal na rin sa mga girlfriends nila.
As for their friend, he didn't—he never—wanted to go into a relationship. He didn't even think of it kaya well-known heartbreaker din sya sa barkada. Make out with him and you still end up getting dumped. Don't even think about the time he's gonna be serious with girls.
"Oh no, there he goes again..." sabi ni Forts nang napansin nyang namimingwit na naman ng chicks si Jeric. He was obviously drunk already.
"Yaan mo na. In time he will learn," Kevin tells him.

Tiningnan naman ni Aljon si Kevin at kumunot ang noo sa sinabi nito. "In time? It's been years pare. Kahit sinong iblind date natin dyan, hindi sineseryoso."
"Hindi naman kasi natin madidiktahan si Jeric. It's his life. If that's the way he wants to live it, then let him be." Natahimik naman ang barkada sa sinabi ni Kevin at binaling nalang ang atensyon sa ibang bagay.
As for Jeric, umupo sya sa tabi ng isang babae na parang wala namang kasama, trying so hard not to act like someone who's drunk.
"Hey there, good-looking." This was his usual greeting and girls fall for it. Every. Single. Time.
"Hi," sagot naman ng babae, looking like she's getting tipsy as well.
"Let me just ask you." He takes a sip. "Did hurt? When you fell from heaven?"

She stares at him for a while then bursts out laughing. "Really? That line?"
Jeric shakes his head, chuckling. "Just checking if you'd fall for it like the others."
"Well now you know that I'm not like 'the others'," she says then takes a sip on his drink.
They talk for a little longer, just basic information like their ages, their hobbies and a little background about their lovelife.
Soon enough, it was more than just talking already. Jeric invites her to his apartment to 'finish what they have started'. Both were drunk, no more questions. They awkwardly waited for the elevator to make the sound before they could go into Jeric's room.
