He walked over to it and nealt down, removing the steel grate from off the top, "what the hell is this shit? It would be a great spot to stash some weed," Eddie groaned out as he looked into the small compartment in the floor and saw a bunch of mason jars covered in cobwebs, "Hey sweetheart, come and check this out," Eddie called out to her as he looked down at the mason jars in disgust.

Adira turned around and looked at him in confusion before making her way back over to him and squatting down beside him, a look of disgust covering her face as she looked down at where his flashlight was pointing, "that shit is nasty," Adira groaned out before sticking her hand in and pulling out one of the mason jars and holding it in front of them so they could check the contents inside. Inside the jar were a few leaves and a scary-looking dead spider perched on a stick, "that's a fucking black widow," Adira spat out in disgust and went to grab another jar, "and the only fucking black widow I want near me is Natasha Romanoff."

Adira reached her hand into the small compartment to grab another one but stopped suddenly as she felt something crawling on her arm, she looked over, praying that it was just her or Eddies hair but it was a giant spider. "Shit! Fucking shit on a stick!" Adira exclaimed and dropped the jar and stood up, shaking her arms as she tried to whack the spider off her shoulder.

Adira tripped on a lifted floor board and began to stumble back, she ran into a few spider webs before she accidentally bumped into Robin who had a scared look on her face as she grabbed onto Adira, wrapping her arms around her waist securely. "Hey, Hey what happened? We heard you yelling and came over here straight away," Robin said in concern. Eddie had run out after her to make sure that she was okay and Nancy was standing behind Robin

"Yeah yeah I'm fine sorry, sorry there was just a fucking spider that was probably going to crawl into my ears and then lay spider eggs on my brain," Adira said in disgust as she checked her clothes again for any spiders, "it was a black widow," Adira groaned out in disgust. Robin let out a sigh of relief after finding out Adira was okay, she let out a small giggle as she reached up and pulled some spiderwebs out of Adira's hair

"You know if there is a spider resting in there you are never going to find it until it lays eggs and all of the babies spill out," Robin said with a small chuckle and brushed Adira's hair out slightly with her fingers. Adira had to push away the feeling in her stomach as she pulled away from Robin slowly, giving her a small grin. Robin pouted slightly, brushing off the feeling she was currently experiencing as she watched as Adira made her way back over to Eddie

"What is wrong with you Rob," Adira complained as Robin walked off laughing, "are you trying to get me to shit myself?" Adira asked her as she ran her fingers through her hair a few times just to make sure that there were no more cobwebs in there

"man she has got some problems," Adira said with a small sigh, a gentle smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she giggled softly at Robins joke, "some real, serious problems I tell ya," Adira muttered out

"Yeah tell me about it," Nancy said with a small chuckle, finding the whole ordeal to be slightly amusing as she took a few steps forwards and stood next to Adira

"It's cool that you two are like friends now though," Adira says with a breath of relief as she turns to look at Nancy with a small smile, "maybe after we find Vecna, kill him and do all that saving the world shit, us older kids, we should all go out and eat or watch a movie or something, ya know, me, you, Steve, Rob, Jonathan and Eddie," she said with a grin

"Yeah I think that that's a good idea," Nancy said with a small nod, Adira and Eddie expected Nancy to just walk off after that but she stood there with an unsure look on her face as she hesitated before opening her mouth once again, "hey I just wanted to check on you, you've been acting kind of off lately, and Steve told me and Robin that you have powers like 11 or something, I was just thinking that all of this is just so much for you to handle," Nancy said and placed a hand on Adira's shoulder. She had a smile on her face but her tone was judgemental and condescending

Adira looked up at her in confusion, "what are you trying to say?" Adira asked in confusion, not appreciating the tone that nancy was using with her. Adira stepped back slightly so that Nancy's hand fell of her shoulder. Nancy had seemed to be in a mood a lot recently, and she was really beginning to piss Adira off

"Well I'm just saying that there is a lot going on... and you have been just jumping to conclusions and things, and saying some stuff that doesn't totally make a bunch of sense you know... like how you keep saying that Henry Creel has something to do with this. Im not trying to condescend you or anything, I'm just worried that's all," Nancy said and gave Adira a quick small smile, "I'm just making sure that you are okay and all."

"Well maybe you should keep that worry to yourself Wheeler," Eddie muttered out as he watched the encounter. He could see the look on Adira's face, it was clear that she was upset and uncomfortable from the way that Nancy was treating her

"Excuse me?" Nancy said to Eddie as her face screwed up in distaste, "are you telling me that I'm not allowed to worry about my best friend?" Nancy's hands went to her hips as she looked over at Eddie with a scowl on her face

"Funny that you call her your best friend but all you have done is be ignorant of her suggestions and completely try and take all the attention away from her and put it on you, you didn't even notice that she had been upset over the past week and a half," Eddie snapped as he wrapped his arm around Adira's waist, "best friends dont do that. You should have been listening to what she has to say."

Adira looked up at Eddie in shock, she hadn't expected him to stand up for her, yet she was so grateful that he did. She seemed to be good at sticking up for everybody but herself. Nancy had gone silent for a few moments before looking over at Adira, waiting for her to say something to Eddie. Adira just looked at Nancy with a blank face and it wasn't long before the Wheeler girl left, storming off down the hallway

"Thanks, love," Adira muttered out to the boy. Eddie grabbed her chin between his fingers and brought his face down to hers before placing a soft kiss against her lips

"No problem sweetheart," Eddie replied as he pulled away, placing another kiss on the top of her head and then leading her back into the room where they could continue to investigate.
