We sit in silence in the cold, the sound of bone cracking encroaches on our position.
"Connor, don't worry." Emma says with a smile.
We sit together, her holding my hands as the sounds creep closer. The smell of rotting flesh fills the air around us. The air stiffens as we wait.
"Connor, do you trust me."
"Well... I-"
"Tell me, Connor, do you trust me?" Emma looks above my head as if staring into the eyes of another being. Her voice is strict and unwavering.
"Yes, I trust you."
A bright flash of light fills my vision, "Connor, you must come back, your story can't end here!" I fall unconscious.
