Seventeen~ The way things are

You're sitting in your room with the girls when Sheridan sent you pictures of Lily and Griff kissing and cuddling on a blanket at the beach. You showed them to Poppy. She got upset but understood that it's her fault for trusting someone from another team and also his fault for cheating.You turned on "Something In The Orange" by Zach Bryan on and you guys started vibing till Marlon and Ari walked in. You paused it and Griff texted you asking if he could come over he needs to talk to you about what Sheridan sent you.You answered and told him sure and to come on over and he responded saying he'll be there in 30 minutes.

You: Alright so Griff will be here in 30 minutes Ari and Poppy you guys can hide in my closet, Marlon and Bodhi in the connected bathroom

Poppy: How many bathrooms do you have

You" I have a half bath room connected then a connected full bath that's also connected to Bodhi's room

Marlon: You guys didn't know that

Bodhs,Poppy,Ari: Didn't know she had a half bathroom connected to her room

Marlon: Yeah I used to hide there

You rolled your eyes.Marlon laughed and so did you.

*20 minutes later*

You were all sitting in your room laughing.You and Ari sat on you bed cuddled up while Poppy,Marlon,and Bodhi sat on the floor.

You: Alright we've got 5 to 10 minutes till Griff gets here so everyone in their  hiding spots now

As soon as everyone was in thier hiding spot you turned the sing back on a restarted it and soon your dad walked in with Griff then he left you and Griff in your room.

Griff: Hey *softly*

You: Hi *softly*

Griff: I need you to come back to Anchor cove please I miss you I miss us I miss your hugs I miss everything Poppy means the world to me Shay but I don't think that her or Lily can amount up to how much I love you

You: I miss you too Griff but you know I've moved on Griff you hurt me you messed with my head and after I left anchor cove it didn't change I'm in a happy relationship with Gibson and nothing is going to change that and I'm sorry Griff but I'm happy here in Shore Haven if you wouldn't have cheated on Poppy we wouldn't be having this discussion

Griff: What are you talking about

You show him the picture Sheridan sent you.

Griff: Those were after we stopped talking and before me and Poppy started talking

You: Why would she send me these then

Griff: Cause she's stupid

You guys hugged and when you guys pulled apart and you had tears in your eyes. You whispered in Griff's ear" can we go outside and talk" hewhispered back "Yeah".You guys walked outside and sat in the grass of your front door.

Griff: Thanks for warning me that they're here

You: No problem

Griff: So what did you want to talk about

You look back to see them all starring out the window then you look back at Griff. 

You: I've been getting flashbacks from the accident and May's funeral like earlier today I was taking a nap and I had a nightmare my parents were asking me if I felt guilty for the accidents the I had flashbacks and I'm still getting panic attacks

Griff: You need to tell your parents

You: I will eventually just give me time

Griff: Alright

You guys stand up and hugged again before letting go and him going back to his car. Before getting in he looked at you and said" Promise you'll tell them I care and  love you" You smiled before saying " I promise and I care and love you too." Then he got into his car and left.You went back inside and to your room.

Bodhi: We said that you need to tell mom or dad not an old surf team mate

Marlon: Tell your mom and dad what exactly Shay

You: Nothing alright I'm fine

Poppy: She's-

You cut her off by putting your hand over her mouth.

You: I'm just tired

Bodhi: Shay still gets flashbacks from her accident and flashbacks from May's funeral and she has bad panic attacks 

Ari:I thought that the flashbacks were done with 

Summer: I thought you got rid of the panic attacks Shay

You all turned around to see Summer standing in your doorway

Summer: Your mom dropped me off and your dad let me in

Bodhi: Oh ok

You: Anyways I did Bodhi just doesn't know what she's talking about

Bodhi: She only comes into her room after a bad dream if she's going to have a panic attack

You: Wrong I got outside and sit by my self and meditate  when I'm having a panic attack

Poppy: So you're still having them even at the surf club and it's not just training for comps

Summer: Or warming up for her heat

Marlon: *walking over and hugging you* I'm so sorry

You: *hugging him back* It's ok

You and Marlon just stood there in each others arms with your face buried into his chest while you hold back the tears.

Marlon: *whispering in your ear* I know you aren't ok and you think showing you emotions in front of people makes you weak but if you need to cry then go ahead

You realized he was being serious and buried your face deeper into his chest and started crying while his grip tightened around you.

You: *muffled* I'm sorry I'm so sorry I should've told you or someone other than Griff but it felt right to say while we were sitting there*crying*

Marlon: I know it's ok

You: I never should have jumped stairway twice U should've been there when May got shot I should have been there for Alex when May died

Marlon: Hey it's not your fault that you weren't there for Alex when May died you were already back here in Ausie and after you got the call it broke me you froze with your phone in your hand and I wanted to hug you so bad but Ari beat me to it you wouldn't even move to go to his car so he carried you then once you guys left not even 20 minutes into the drive you passed out on Ari's shoulder and all you did when you got home was sleep and stay in your room for about a week and if i'm being honest when that was all happening I wish I was the one staying with you

You laughed a little and looked up at Marlon with a smile and the you nodded slightly and he let go of you. Ari walked over and hugged you then kissed your forehead and it reminded you of when you and Marlon were talking and how he used to do that when h was leaving or lining up for his heat.
