We walked into a huge cabin area with LOTS of cabins in a 'u' shape. Aaron walked up to one and told us to wait here because he wanted to introduce me first. I nodded nervously and waited while making things with the rope in my hands.

While I was waiting I heard Aaron say to them, "Alright guys, we are getting a new cabin mate!" They all cheered, "But this ones a little different. Disability different. Come on in Caden!"

Just as I stepped in, I heard one of them say to the another, "Why do we always get the messed up ones!" I looked at the kid and ran out, tears streaming down my face. I can't believe he would say something like that when he hadn't even met me.

I ran as fast as I could towards the forest, trees always calm me down. Don't know why, they just do. I only ran a little ways in (I didn't want to get lost!) and climbed a tree, not high, but still high enough to not actually be seen with ease.

"Dang it! Where'd she go?!"

"She's fast!"

"You moron, why would you say something like that?!"

Three voices said. The third one was accompanied by a smacking noise.

"It's not my fault! I didn't know she was hot or a girl!" The one that called me messed up said.

"It doesn't matter! Just spread out and find her! She can't have gone too far! And dude, that's gross. She's your half sister!" Aaron said.

"Key word being 'half' my dearest brother!" The kid said and ran off to go look for me. Little did he know I was right above them. Pretty soon all of them had left so I just sat there, knees hugging my chest and cried.

Suddenly, the tree gave a violent shake and a kid popped right out of the tree. Like, literally, RIGHT out of he tree. Like he emerged from the shadows.

I leapt down from the tree with enough grace to rival a cat and landed noiselessly behind him. I snuck up behind him and quickly pulled out his sword from his scaffold. (A/N: I think that's what it's called)

He spun around to punch me in the face but I caught it and did a cool twisty thing so he couldn't move either of his arms but was facing me.

"What the? Have you been crying?" He asked me, angry at first then softly when he saw the tear tracks. I nodded my head and let him go. Probably not the smartest thing to do but hey, what's the worst that could happen when I have the sword.

I drew with the tip of the sword in the dirt and wrote, 'I'm sorry, I can't talk. My name is Caden, what's yours?' He read it and looked at me funny.

"Caden for a girls name?" He asked. I nodded my head and underlined 'what's yours?'

"Nico," he said while sticking out his hand for me to shake, "Nico Di Angeles. Son of Hades," I shook his hand and was shocked to find that his hands were ice cold. I didn't let my shock show on my face and I let go of his hand. He obviously wasn't a serial killer if he just shook my hand so I tossed his sword up in my hand and caught the blade. I held the handle his direction and he gave me a funny look but took the sword and put it back in his scaffold. Together, we walked back to the camp that I still don't know the name of.

"So how long have you been at Camp Half-Blood, Caden," Nico asked me. I held up one finger.

"A year?" I put up both hands, palms facing each other and brought them closer together to symbolize shorter.

"A month?" He asked and I did the movement again.

"A week?" I did the movement one more time.
