"Will, baby. How old are you?" Nico had asked as pulled the blonde into his lap, beginning to massage their lower belly. Will subconsciously leaned into the blessed feeling. The question had caught them off guard though. Why was Nico asking them how old they were? Shouldn't he be helping? Getting them aleve? A heating pad?

"How old are you?" Nico repeated. Will gave a confused look and lifted two fing— oh. They had slipped. The pain made them involuntary regress. They weren't surprised. They usually did slip during their period. The blonde felt even more tears come as they made that realization. They always hated involuntary regression. Made them feel weak.

"Aw, I've got a small one on me today huh?" The raven said as he began to rock back and forth, wiping away at Will's tears. Nico was always so good with little them. Will responded with a small saddened nod. "It's okay Sunshine. It's okay. Let's get you that heating pad okay? Could you also take some medicine for me, baby? It'll make the pain go away. I've got chocolate for after." Nico offered, and Will immediately perked up at the promise of the delicious treat. Gods Nico was always so good at making them feel better. He didn't even have to try in all honestly. Just his presence made Will feel like all would be okay.

"Okay. Just give me a moment hon." The raven mumbled as he grabbed his backpack that was swung loosely over his shoulder. Opening it he grabbed a water bottle and some aleve. He opened the container and poured out two pills. He handed it and the water to Will. Will frowned as they took them. They hated the medicine. Of course, they took it with ease, it easily going down. But still, the thought of possibly choking scared them. Nico seemed to know this as he would always rub the blonde's knee affectionately whenever they did take it.

"Good job. Let's get you that heating pad now okay? The medicine will take a minute to kick in." He had said as he grabbed a wrapped-up heat pad from his backpack. He leaned over the front of the bed to the outlet and plugged the cord in. "Okay. That'll take only a minute to heat up. Do you want the chocolate now baby?" He asked. Will nodded. Yummy chocolate. Nico handed them the chocolate goodness. Then he grabbed the heat pad which Will gratefully took and stuffed under their wasteband, sighing in relief.

They climbed back into Nico's lap, their back pressing into the raven's tummy. The other wrapped his arms around their waist in an embrace. Will sighed contently as they ripped open the packaging and started biting away.

Nico kissed their blonde curls and started rubbing at their lower belly again. Oh, how Will loved this boy. They smiled softly as they ate their dessert. When they finished the snack they threw the empty wrapper into the trash near the bed, and turned around in Nico's arms, wrapping their own around the smaller boy's neck. Nico shifted slightly and hugged the (mentally) younger one again in the new position.

"We lay down and cuddle now please?" Will asked voice muffled as they had buried their face into the crook of Nico's neck. The raven hummed yes as he again shifted their position so that they were laying down. Will smiled as Nico spooned them. They leaned back so their body was as pressed closely to Nicos as possible, and wrapped both of their hands in Nico's, which had already found their way around their stomach. Nico kissed their head again and then buried his face in their messy hair. Will smiled.

They really were grateful Nico was willing to come to help them at four in the morning. They loved this boy so much. They would have to find ways to make it up to the boy whenever the cramps would go away, and once they were in a much older mindset. Which probably wouldn't be for a while. Stupid cramps. They wished the medicine would just kick in already.

Even with the heat from the pad, the cramps were still almost unbearable. They whimpered as they moved one hand to try and press the heat pad further against their skin trying to make it warm him more.

Nico sighed as he kissed the other's cheek, hand following to help add pressure. "I'm sorry Tesoro. It'll go away soon." He promised. Will started to cry again quietly as they shook their head.

"Wan gone n-now. Hurts. I hate th-this." They choked out through their sobs. The dysphoria was starting to kick in again with the pain. They could feel the blood coming out and it only made them cry harder.

The raven-haired boy frowned as he rubbed his thumb over the other hand that was still held tightly in his. "I know. I know baby. Just hang in there. You're so strong. Just a little longer sweetheart. I love you. So much." He tried to distract his baby with comforting words, wishing he could do more to help comfort his baby boy. To take the pain away. Alas, he could not. Life hated them both it seemed.

Will just sobbed as they curled in on themselves, bringing their knees up to their chest hoping the change in position could make the heat pad more hot. It did. Only a little. "L-love you too." That was all they managed to respond with.

Nico smiled sadly as he continued to talk about random things to help distract them. Will would occasionally speak to answer a question, but it was mostly just Nico talking.

Eventually, once the medicine had started to kick in Will had fallen asleep, snoring softly as Nico stayed awake happy his baby was finally getting some peace. He thought for a moment to return home but decided quickly against it. Will would likely still be in headspace when they awoke, and while their parents knew and didn't care, they needed Nico to care for them, their caregiver. He knew that Will's mum would likely not be happy with the fact he had snuck in at 4 am but she would calm down once he explained the situation.

So he just closed his eyes, and although he did not join his baby in sleep, he did get a good rest holding his boy in his arms. He did not want to be anywhere else than here.
