That Is The Place That Is The Best

whenever you feel pointless just look at the stars
what are they to you
what have they been through
it takes a thousand miles and a thousand years to reach them
and when you get there it's a point of no return
so look at them from afar but don't let them scorch you
they blow things up to create them anew
like how the gift of God was in you
people like to journey
to find themselves lost
but maybe what we really want is to be found
to be lost by all the people who never gave a damn
and to be found by the ones who would hold out a loving hand
people who will love you even after they know your sin
versus the people that would hate you for the things you never did
when you look up at the stars do you bask in their beauty
do you see the way they stick out upon the black sky
different colors different shapes and different origin stories
but beautiful and dazzling all the same
like when you look at yourself and you don't see a reflection
you don't see a repeat of everyone else and depending on the day
and the way you've lived your life
it's a sad and a happy thing
to fit in with the people who look like your reflection is a dream you never walked in
but to stand out is like a dream you see when you're awake
everyday we search for something to fulfil us and in the end there is love
i fit in no where because i am not a copy
but i fit here because i balance
i am different from everyone
but we fit together like pieces of a puzzle
like the stars in the sky that work together to make constellations
each star different and beautiful come together to make the same picture
and in the depth of black waters
buried deep in white sands
hidden under bridges and in magical lands
there's a place you find inside you
that's different from the rest and that place you find inside you
is the place that is the best
