As many of you probably know, Kalos is a region in the world of Pokemon. In the month of May (2022), the instagram account Flagible held a flag making contest with the theme of "fictional places." I took this as my chance to finally enter one of their contests and made a Kalos flag.

Here's what I wrote with my flag, as the submission required having what the colors and symbols represent:
The red, white, and blue take from the French Flag, as Kalos is based on France. However, the colors are lightened up to more fluidly fit in with the Pokemon World. The small amount of gray is only to balance, as it was originally going to be yellow, but it did not look good, as did black.
The red and blue leaning on each other is representative of the Kalos Pokedex, which uses a similar symbol to show the three separate areas of its Pokedex. The Pokeball symbol is representative of it being in the world of Pokemon and having a Pokemon League. The fleur-de-lis is another representation of the region being based on France.
