Its early morning, Olivia walks around her living room picking things up, it's been 4 days since her last session with Peter, which means it's been 5 days since she left that voicemail to Elliot, 5 days and no call back, no text, silence. Is she angry ? Yes, is she spiraling?...absolutely, but she can't think about that right now, she has a very special guest coming over, one thats going to give her the answers she needs
Noah comes down the hall, backpack on and his shoulder and papers in hand "mom, I need you to sign this, its the permission slip for the field trip today" he said
Olivia chuckles "you're just now bringing me this?"
Noah shrugs "I forgot it in my bag" he said and held up a pen up to her
Olivia shakes her head as she grabs the pen "you've got to remember this stuff bud" she said and signed the paper "have fun" she added and kissed the top of his head
"I will" Noah said and headed out the door
Olivia goes back to cleaning, she picks up her therapy notebook from the TV stand and moves to the coffee table, she hasn't written anything, she's started and stopped many times but these last 5 days have kept giving her excuses to put it off, and with Elliot still not calling back she doesn't know when or if she'll write again. That's another thing, though he hasn't called her, she has thought about him almost every second these last few days.. how could he not call her?
Olivia hears a knock on the door that pulls her out of her thoughts, she goes and opens it smiling at the man in front of her
"Hey kiddo" Cragen said beeming at his old detective
Olivia smile "hi" she said and moves out of the way "come on in" she said
Cragen walks in, glancing around the apartment "where's my grandson?" He asked
Olivia chuckles "you just missed him, he's off to school" she said and headed over to the couch "besides, what I want to talk about is probably best without him here" she said
Cragen sits down with Olivia, he looks at her confused "what's going on?" He asked
Olivia clears her throat "um..I'm..I wanted to talk to you about, well about me" she said and chuckled softly
Cragen watched her as she grabed her notebook "are you okay? Are you..are you sick?" He asked
Olivia shakes her head quick "no, no I'm fine, nothing like that" she said and took a deep breath "when you were captain, you told us Elliot and I we were too close or I guess you were told that we were too close..remember?" She added
"I remember, they wanted you to separate and I told them separating you two would be a bigger mistake" Cragen said
Olivia nods "why? Why would it be a mistake" She asked
"You worked well together, you were my two best cops" Cragen said and paused for a moment "whats this about?" He asked
Olivia takes a deep breath "there's just some things I need to know...and I want you to be honest with me about them..no matter what" she said
Cragen nods "okay, of course" he said
Olivia glances down at her notebook for a moment "I need to know..when -when Elliot left, did he say why?" She asked
Cragen shakes his head "that was years ago..." he said
Olivia nods "I know, but I need to understand why, I need to know it wasn't..." she said and sighs "I need to know it wasn't me" she said quietly
Cragen frowns "Oh Olivia, it wasnt..you did nothing wrong" he said
Olivia's chuckles softly as she looks down at her notebook "I dont believe that.." she said she fidgets with the bottom of the notebook
