THE TRIO JUST GOT to the junkyard that Dustin told Lucas to meet at.
"Oh, yeah. Yeah, this will do" Steve took his sunglasses off as he looked around the junkyard
"This will do just fine" He added, now walking towards the broken bus
"Good call" Mads smiled at Dustin before following Steve who continued to drop meat on the ground
"I said medium-well!" Someone yelled, the trio looked to see one of Dustin's friends with...
"Max?" Maddie called "Maddie?" Max yelled
"You know her?" Steve asked "Yeah, that's my sister" Mads ran over to them to give Max a hug
"What're you doing here?" Mads asked "Beats being home" Max responded "True that" Mads said "Hey, let's start moving these, yeah?" Mads said as she lifted up a metal plank

The group finished their attack plan + their protection when night rolled around
Lucas was on lookout while Maddie, Max, Steve, and Dustin stayed seated in the bus
"So you really fought one of these things before?" Max asked Steve who was playing with a lighter
Steve just nodded
"And you're like, totally, 100% sure it wasn't a bear?" Max asked
Steve nodded but Dustin spoke his mind
"Shit. Don't be an idiot. Okay? It wasn't a bear" He said "Why are you even here if you don't believe us?" He asked "Just go home" He said before pacing again
"Geesh. Someone's cranky. Past your bedtime?" Max asked, climbing up the ladder to go by Lucas
"That's good. Just show her you don't care" Steve said "I don't" Dustin said, Steve just winked at Dustin
"Why are you winking, Steve? Stop" Dustin said
"Good? That wasn't good" Maddie whispered to Steve
"How was that not good?" Steve asked "Because, now Max thinks Dustin's an asshole" Maddie answered
"And now that she thinks he's an asshole, he won't know that the beach was one of Max's favorites back in California" Maddie said "Basic information someone would need to know if they wanna be in a relationship" She added
"Do... you like the beach...?" Steve asked "What?" Mads asked "The beach, do you enjoy it?" Steve asked
"Yeah, my mom always watched me and Billy ride waves" Maddie said "I know it sounds super cheesy" Maddie started
