The mind is a powerful thing. It can withstand harsh, brutal words. Other times, it will fully recover from traumatic events, often locking away the terrifying memories to protect itself from remembering. A human’s mind will carefully hold each and every memory it ever receives, unless wished to be forgotten. It’s used for sad times, happy times, boring times...even exciting, exhilarating times. Without the mind, emotions would filter away. Without memories, without growth...we wither away.
