"God, I really hate this place," I growl as I look up at the large building.

"It can't be helped. You said that you need something here?"

"Yes, Sebastian. I need to find out something," I reply. We started to walk forward, but abruptly stopped when we heard a loud explosion,

"What the bloody hell was that?!"

"Oh no," Sebastian sighed, looking forward. I followed his gaze and groaned.

"Dear Bassy! You've returned!" Grell yelled as he slung his arms around Sebastian's shoulders, red hair flying everywhere. I couldn't help but smirk at his obvious discomfort. As Grell continued to seduce Sebastian, I noticed Will walk up.

"Finally, someone who can help me."

"What is it you require Ciel Phantomhive. I have souls to reap," Will replied, pushing his glasses further up on his nose.

"I need to look in your library. I need to have proof of someone's death."

"Fine. Do as you please, but make it quick. Come along Grell," he motioned to Grell and turned to walked away.

"Awe! Until next time, my dear Bassy!" He did his signature pose and ran after Will. I saw Sebastian sigh in relief. I chuckled to myself and started to walk to the library. I walked in alone. I told Sebastian to wait outside because this was something I had to find out for myself. I walked along the shelves, trying my best to block out the terrible memories of the last time I was here.

"Finally," I muttered to myself as I discovered the M section.

"Middleford, Middleford. Where is she? I'm in the right section, they organize souls by last name. She has to be here! She was human! She can't still be alive, it's been over 200 years since I last saw her!" I was yelling now, panic starting to set in.

"My lord, are you alright?" I heard Sebastian call from the other side of the door.

"Yes, I'm fine, but can you get Will?" I ask, since only he can confirm my suspicions.

"Of course, my lord." I hear his foot steps slowly fade away. I run my fingers through my slate hair while taking deep breaths, trying to calm my raging heart. Why isn't she here? She can't be alive... Can she? I thought to myself.

"Ciel, what do you need? You know I'm busy," Will states coldly behind me.

"Yes, I'm well aware, but I have a question. Why is Elizabeth Middleford not here? She was a human. She should be dead!" I couldn't help but raise my voice.

"I don't know what you babbling about," he adjusts his glasses, "we have no record of any Elizabeth Middleford. I believe that the person you are looking for is still alive. Now please stop wasting my time and leave."

As he turned to leave, my knees gave out beneath me. I crumpled to the floor. She's still alive?! How is this possible?

"My lord? Are you alright?" Sebastian asked, concern lacing his voice. I ignored him as I tried to control my breathing.

"Sebastian," I panted, "Elizabeth is alive. We have to find her! That's an order, Sebastian!" I yell as the contract seal on my eye glows brightly.

"Yes, my lord."
