To learn (chapter 5)

Jay started hyperventilating. For some reason I wished Travis was here, but he wasn't. I tried to calm Jay down and asked him to tell me and my mom what happened. He told a terrifying story. He said that he was shook after the test with those doctors so he went over to my house but my mom was still with the doctors, I was still taking the test and so was my dad and my brother. So when he couldn't find us he went over to his boyfriends house he spent some time with his boyfriend and ate dinner with there family. When he went home he looked around the house for any of his family members, he looked for his younger sister, his mother and father. He was about to go back to chase's (his boyfriend) house when he heard a clatter like something hitting the ground. It sounded like it came from the kitchen so Jay went and looked. When he entered the kitchen he found his father's body lying there on the ground. Jay was convinced that the 'doctors' put something in his father's brain and forced him to kill him self. And from what Travis had just told me I don't think he was lying. Travis told me that anyone that drank or ate something that the doctors provided, it is most likely that you have something inside you. there is also a possibility that they are controlling of you. what if they controlled me? well i put that thought aside and had a brilliant one. i thought that if I brought Jay to Travis he could help. so we left my mom in the house and went to find Travis. i could see in Jay's eyes that he was really scared. when he was talking about his dad i thought about my dad. i haven't seen him since the panic room. We finally found Travis and he was talking to a doctor. Jay got really tense and told him to stay put. i went over to Travis and he freaked the second he saw me. he excused himself from the conversation (so polite) and came over to me with pure fear in his eyes. he whisper yelled "what are you doing here!? you should be at home how did you get past the curfew?" "curfew?" i asked "oh never mind. why are you here?" "i need you to tell my friend that it is all going to be ok." "it's not going to be ok." "well his dad just died and he thinks that the doctors made him kill himself." "they probably did" "fine just talk to him and tell him what you told me." "fine where is he?" "he's right her-" jay was not where i left him. i frantically looked for my friend. Travis helped and we ended up finding him in a doctors room and Travis went in because i should not be here. i listened in and I heard a bit but not much. Travis came out with jay and told me to bring him home and then go home. i grabbed jay by the arm because he didn't look like he could walk. then Travis came supper close to me and looked right at my lips and i thought for a second that he was going to kiss me but instead he whispered in my ear "Kathy be careful." i nodded my head for my answer and left with Jay. on our way home i found myself wishing that Travis kissed me. but he didn't. when we got to jay's house i brought him in and saw no one. i put him down on the couch and looked throughout the house  for anyone. i went into the kitchen expecting a dead body but there wasn't. there wasn't even a speck on blood. then i heard a noise and saw jay. the way he looked at me made me feel like i was his enemy. it scared me. then he said "Kathy why do you always need to know what's going on. there are things going on right now that you don't need to know about." then he grabbed a knife and walked towards me. i said "jay what do you mean- what are you doing?" "something that is necessary." he ran into me and pushed me down. he put the knife to my neck. i pushed him off and ran. i ran out of the house and to my own.
