ADHIRA'S POV

I could literally feel everyone's eyes boring into me.
Absent-mindedly I held onto Siddharth's hand.

We talked to a few. More like he did the talking and I stood there giving smiles,like a happy wife.

"Hello, there young man" A Man in his 50's approaches Siddharth with a girl in 20's

"Hello, Mr. Gupta"He says

"How's business going?"He asks Siddharth

"Good" He says

"Hope you remember my daughter?"He asks

"Swetha right?"Siddharth says

She nods and asks"Can I have a dance?"

"I'm sorry but-"I cut Siddharth

"I don't mind, "I say and leave

I find a stool near the bar and sit

"What would you like to have?"The bartender asks me

"I don't drink, "I say back

"Do you mind having a conversation?"I ask him

"Unfortunately you don't have a choice,"I say back to him and ask

"So what do you do?"I ask him

"I'm a bartender," he says seeing me like I've grown 2 horns

"Full time? I mean you look too young" I say

"I'm a law student.2nd year"He says

"Why is a law student a bartender at night,?You don't mind me asking do you?"I ask him

"Part-time. Financial issues" He says and I raise an eyebrow at him

"You're not going are you?"He says sighing

"Nope" I answer him popping the 'p'

"I've never seen my father. The only income for our living was my mother's salary. And it was enough for my and my sister's education. She's not well. She has a problem with her heart. I'm saving my money so It could help in her surgery and my sister's future education" He says

"What do you mean was my mother.."I trail off

"She got fired, "He says sadly

"Adhira" I hear a familiar voice

"Hi, How was your seminar?"I ask Ritika as I see her

But the main question was why she was with one of Sid's friend?

"Amazing" She answers

I wiggle my eyebrows at her

"Long story short I'm getting married to him, I'll tell you later" She whispers in my ears

"Shrey right?"I ask him

"Yea, It's great to see you, "He says

"Same here" I answer back

Then I see the bartender leaving,

I excuse myself for a moment

"Hey! law student" I call out to him

"Geez!Seriously?"He asks

"What you didn't tell me your name and where are you off to?"I say to him

"Rohan. My job is done" He answers

"So Rohan the hospital I work in is introducing a new program, If you could get your mom to the hospital I can get her into the program and her treatment will begin as soon as possible,"I say to him

"You're a doctor?"He asks me

"A cardiologist" I answer and chuckle at his dumb question

"I have not saved tha-"I cut him off

"Save that for your's and your sister's education. And the program is free of cost" I say to him

"Thank you!I can't thank you enough for this thank you so much"He was tearing up.

"I have to get back,"I say to him giving a light pat on his shoulder and give him the hospital card

"I'm Adhira by the way, "I say to him and get back

"May I have this dance Mr.Rajvansh?"I ask shrey

"My pleasure, Mrs.Singhania,"He says

I couldn't help but roll my eyes

"Adhira-"I cut Ritika off

"Relax zyada nahi karungi"

(..I won't over do it)

We got to the dance floor and danced slowly,

"So what are your intentions with her?"I ask him with a straight face

"I didn't know that in your language you call dance interrogation as well," He says jokingly

I tried hard to control my laughter

"Would you just answer the question?"I say to him

"Look When I met her. Honestly speaking my mom forced me to get to know her a little bit. I really liked her. I have no wrong intentions with her. I'll treat her like a queen should be treated"He says

"How are you such a gentleman when your friend is such jerk,"I say to him

He chuckles

"Adhira trust me,He'll come around,"He says

"Ok bhaiya Ji"I realized what I uttered

"You don't mi-"He cuts me off

"I don't,meri pyaari si behna" He says

I couldn't help but chuckle

I look at Ritika over his shoulder and gave her a small smile teasingly and nod my head
