Chapter 8

"It took everything I had not to leave the train station and come but I did it becuase I knew it would be better for you, and your career."
"How would that be better?"
"Shawn! You were seventeen. Id just about ruined your life"
"No you didnt. I loved you Jade. And to wake up and have you be gone. To call every single day and have you ignore me, right before tour started...it was horrible!"
"Im sorry Shawn, im sorry for not telling you why i left and not calling . I know. Okay I know im a fuck up. I think about it every day. The only thing that got me through it was seeing how great you were doing. So im not going to apologize for that" I say.
He starts laughing.
"Why the fuck are you laughing?" I demand.
"Becuase....you're so damn stubborn."
I scoff and give him a dirty look. He can't be like this right now. This is not a time for him to be making jokes.
It doesn't bother him. Instead he tries not to smile. I never thought I'd see his smile again.
"God..I missed you so much" I admit covering my face. I feel like I'm in a dream, that this can't be real.
He grabs my wrists and pulls my hands away from my eyes.
"I like your hair like this" he says looking at my pin straight jet black hair that hangs just above my shoulders. He lets go of my hands and pulls me to him. I wrap my arms underneath his armpits and lent myself melt into him.
I didnt want to think about how he would probably have to leave soon. Go off and preform for thousands of adoring fans. I just need to savor the moment.
"She looks just like you" I say so quietly im not sure if he hears.
"Where is she?" He whispers.
"She'll be here soon" I say and brace myself for his reaction.
He pulls away so that we are looking at eachother. A huge shy smile on his face.
I squeeze him tight and kiss his sholder.
I hear the door knob shake followed by a loud bang. I let go of Shawn.
"Fuck" I mutter.
"Who is that?" He whispers.
I bite my lip. "Its Mike"
