Jasper watched the clock strikes at 8:00 am. Before he stood up and walked toward the bathroom, he had to prepare for school as stretched his hands above his head and turned on the faucet before he splashed some cold water onto his face.

He then proceeded to get dressed and brush his teeth, once he was done in the bathroom, he walked back into the bedroom, picked up a clean pair of blue jeans from the bed, and slid his feet into his sneakers. He grabbed a black hoodie from the closet and put it on when he slipped his arms through the sleeve. He grabbed his backpack and walked down the stairs.

"Good morning. Mom," Jasper said as he walked into the kitchen. His mom had finished preparing breakfast and was putting together plates and glasses. She smiled at him and handed him a plate full of scrambled eggs and toast.

"Thanks, mom, this smell so good."

"Really." She turned to him. "I'm happy you liked it." She took two large cups down from the cabinet next to the stove.

Jasper smiled. He sat down at the dining room table and started eating. The sound of clinking silverware against his plate could be heard. He glanced around the dining area that held both of his family table, which was adorned with beautiful blue vases filled with various colored flowers that were scattered throughout the table. A couple of different books lay open on top of the table next to a few other things.

He took another bite of food, then reached for his glass of orange juice and drank its contents before setting it back on the table. He glanced at the clock again; 9:30 am. It was time to go. He sighed as he pushed away from the table.

Mrs Kroger stopped what she was doing, and looked up at her son. "Is everything alright, sweetie?" She asked in concern. "You haven't finished eating your food."

Jasper shook his head and gave her a small smile. "I'm almost late for school, I have to go now."

She smiled and walked in his direction. "Alright, dear." She embraced him, "Take care and don't do anything too stupid, alright?"

He hugged her back, tightly, and nodded. After he broke away, she gave him one last kiss on the forehead. He left the dining area and headed outside of their house.

Mrs. Kroger watched her son walked down the road, she smiled at the thought of when she used to take him to school.

"Kids grow up faster these days." She thought and close the door.

"Mummy, where's dad." A tiny voice said behind her. She looked down and saw Milan standing by the couch.

"Your dad is in his room, come eat breakfast." She said.

"No mummy, I'm not hungry." Milan ran back upstairs and went to play with her dolls.

Mr. Kroger came into the kitchen after he heard his wife talking to their daughter. "Morning my beautiful wife, how is my little girl?" He asked.

Mrs. Kroger turned around, smiling. "Oh good, she's been asking of you." Her smile fell slightly when she noticed something off about her husband.

"What is it darling, you seem worried." She said in concern.

"No, no nothing just... Thinking about work." Mr. Kroger put an arm around his wife as they walked into the dining room.

"Once Jasper comes back from school, we're leaving." He said. "Go get the things ready."

"Where are we going?" She asked in bewilderment.

"We're leaving San Diego to south Korea."

Mrs. Kroger's eyes widened in fear and shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, she didn't want to leave her parent's house, and the only city that reminds her of them. The only place she loves to call home. But when she looks at her husband's intense expression she knows better than to argue.
