"A million dreams" (Greatest showman inspired)(Non-apocalypse au)

( When Daryl & Y/n were small)
Daryl didn't know a lot about love growing up, there were only two people in his life that showed him love and that was his Mama, and his best friend y/n. Daryl's mama died in a house fire, and all he had now was y/n. He and Y/n had a lot in common one thing being that both of their daddy's like to beat on them. Well, one day Daryl was out in the wood waiting in y/n to sneak out of her house, she apparently had something important to tell him. Daryl is sitting in a meadow and he hears footsteps approach him. He looks beyond him and sees y/n. She sits next to him on the ground. "Hey, how'd you get out?" He asked, "The window" she answers she looks at Daryl " My pops was arrested today since I ain't got no other blood here they are sending me to live with my ma in the city, I don't know what's gonna happen in the future" She explains, Daryl while heartbroken at the news of losing his best friend looks at her confidently and says "I do"
"I close my eyes and I can see
The world that's waiting up for me

Daryl gets up and motions for y/n to follow him
"Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home"
The young pair come up to an old abandoned cabin,

They enter the cabin and see that it's a lot bigger on the inside, there is dust everywhere,  pieces of the roof are missing, and different objects are scattered around the floor.

Daryl pulls y/n along the house sitting on the chairs that were still intact, he finds a still working flashlight and uses the things around him to make shadow puppets that move along the walls, he even shows her different animal skulls lying around and pretends to decorate the cabin. He then gives her a small arrow head that was fashioned as a necklace.
"There's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far away
The special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy day"
Y/n stands in front of her mom's new husband's car, getting in and heading off to the city for a new life sadly Daryl didn't get to say goodbye. He tried to run after the car but it was too fast all he can see is y/n staring out the back window waving bye to him.

Runaway to a world that we design"
Daryl and Y/n wrote to each other every day, soon when they were old enough to have phones they texted and called. Y/n life in the city wasn't so bad she was no longer being used as a punching bag and she made some great friends but no one could replace Daryl, Speaking of Daryl's life was a lot duller without y/n in it, His pops still hit him and with Merle gone to the military all he could do was tuff it out. He dropped out of school and started working at an automotive shop in town. He was saving up for that abandoned cabin in the woods, He wanted to get it fixed up for y/n return so then he could confess his feelings to her.
(Now Daryl & Y/N are adults)

Y/n gets out of her car she parked in front of the automotive shop and she can see Daryl. Daryl was talking to another worker when they point to her behind him, he runs up to her and pull her into a loving hug and surprisingly a kiss which she reciprocated

Daryl had finally confessed to her and she felt the same way, together with hand in hand they walk up to their new home the cabin they spent so, much time in as kids. They open the door and get to work on fixing it up.
"However big, however small

The cabin is almost finished and Daryl decided it was time, so he got down on one knee in front of y/n and asked her to spend forever with him. She said yes. The two share the most passionate kiss and embrace

The two pull apart as the preacher finally pronounced them Mr&Mrs Daryl Dixon. Y/n laughs as Daryl lifts her up bridal style and walks down the aisle with her in his arms.

Y/n walks out of the bathroom of their home holding a pregnancy test in her hand. Daryl who had his head in his hands looks up at her with hopeful eyes, Y/n nods her head at him and tears start streaming down her face she runs into his arms, It's positive. Daryl overcome with emotion also starts to cry, He catches her in his arms, and he buries his face into the side of her neck "Oh my god sunshine, we're gonna have a baby he says laughing lightly "I know" she laughs back. Both still crying

As Daryl and Y/n stand in the nursery for the new baby, his chest to her back both of their hands on her big bump, they look at each other smiling. Their smiles soon turn to shock as Y/n water breaks, they leave to go meet their new baby.

For the world we're gonna make"
Daryl sits next to Y/n on the hospital bed staring in awe at their new baby girl, They look at each other and smile, All of their dreams were coming true, they had each other and they had a family. It was A million dreams come true.
