Poem: The Boy Called No One

Once upon a time
The boy who played basketball
Was like any ordinary boy
He was tall, handsome, admired by all girls
And most importantly my friend

Until one day, I noticed
He sat in my thoughts
And weighed on my mind
I noticed his glowing perfection

My heart skipped beats
And drove over the speed limit
Whenever he was around
He's just a friend,
I whispered to myself

But fate had other plans
Sometimes I wondered if he was bored during class
Or if maybe he skipped a lesson
So that I could join
In his mischief and delinquent ways

Eventually I noticed
I wanted to be with him
As more than a friend
I was scared
Of what our friendship might become
If he ever found out

So whenever he asked
What I thought about
Or who my crush was
I said "nothing" or "no one"
But little did he know
He was my nothing,
My NO ONE and ...

MY EVERYTHING
