I Wolf You

Chapter 07 - Did you ever hear an alien wolf cry?

So, the problem of communication seemed to be solved now, but what to do know? Y/N was very tired.

Y/N looked at Jim standing in the middle of the room, Y/N looked at Keith still sitting on the sofa. Could Y/N leave them alone? Yeah, Y/N could.

„You know, it is really a lot of fun to stay awake and to experience things and stuff, but I really need to get some sleep.", Y/N said.

Keith just nodded. Sleep? That seemed to be boring for him. There was so much experience out here on Earth, and sleep was just a waste of time for this alien wolf.

Jim seemed to understand totally. Keith just had too much energy. Jim also nodded, but he also opened his arms widely to signal that he wanted to give you a hug. Y/N smiled and stepped closer to Jim as he closed Y/N in his arms.

The hug felt very intense and special. Very close together, Y/N enjoyed the moment, and so did Jim. The hug felt like an endless eternity, like dimensions were merging, and for a moment it felt like only Y/N and Jim existed in this whole universe all alone together. Nobody could give such intense hugs, and Jim did.

When the hug was over, something was different, but no one could determine what it was.

„Good night.", Y/N said and went to the bedroom.

When Y/N reached the bedroom, Y/N turned on the lights to get ready for bed. When Y/N was done with getting ready for bed, Y/N looked through the glasses of the window in the bedroom. The moon was still shining like a big ball upon the sky. Stars surrounded the giant moon rock, and they sparkled like fancy diamonds. Normally, Y/N would close the curtains, but now, the relationship to the moon was a different one. Y/N left the curtains as they were. The moon lightened the whole bedroom.

Tired, exhausted, but also incredibly happy, Y/N went to bed and crawled under the blanked. As Y/N closed the eyes, Y/N immediately felt asleep and sank into the land of some wonderful dreams.

The dreams of Y/N were vivid this night. Y/N dreamt something about a giant disco ball, some fruits and rain.

In the middle of the silent night while the whole country was still asleep, Y/N woke up, because Y/N heard some unusual noises. They mixed with the dreams of Y/N, but at some point the noises got so loud that Y/N carefully opened the eyes. Yes, that was not a dream. The sounds were actually there, and they were absolutely real. What was that?

Y/N fully opened the eyes and still saw the moon as the big rock was still shining. The light of the moon seemed immortal to shine for this special night like the spotlight of a stage.

Y/N turned around and saw a silhouette standing in the doorway. Someone just opened the door. Who could that have been? While Y/N still was a bit dizzy and not fully awaked yet, Y/N sat up and remembered: The two alien wolves were still here.

„I am sorry to wake you up."

„Do not worry. It is okay. Is something wrong?"

The wolf came closer and seemed to have his eyes fixed on the light of the moon as it bathed him.

„It is.. Just.. I just wanted to see the moon, my home, you know?"

Y/N thought that this was just kinda cute.

„Do you feel homesick?", Y/N asked.

„Do you feel homesick?", the wolf asked.

„I am at home."

And for minutes Y/N looked at the wolf staring at his home upon the sky. And for minutes the wolf just stared at the moon. 

After a while, Y/N heard a soft sob noise from the wolf. Maybe a little crying. What an unpleasant noise. Was the wolf actually crying? What was Y/N supposed to do now?

Y/N stood up and slowly walked to the wolf, who was still standing in front of the window, pressing a hand against the pane of glass.

„Hey, it is okay.", Y/N said and put a hand onto the shoulder of the wolf.

The wolf turned around and immediately hugged Y/N as he cried. Y/N held him and softly stroke his back to calm him down.

„It is okay. I am here for you.", Y/N said.

„Thank you, Earthling.", the wolf answered.

After a while, the hug was over and the wolf looked at you.

„Please, do not tell this to my brother. We have a very close bond, but he does not need to know how much I miss our home sometimes. After one day."

„It is okay to miss something. Everyone does. But that will be our secret.", Y/N said.

„Thank you."

The wolf looked like he still wanted to say something.

„Is there something else?"

„May I sleep here? I feel more comfortable around the moon."

„Sure. If you want to, we also can share a bed.", Y/N said while walking to the bed again. But as Y/N turned around to the wolf again, he already was laying on the floor and actually seemed to sleep. How fast could wolves fall asleep?

„Or.. You just sleep on the floor. That is also.. possible."

The wolf could not hear you as he was already sleeping.

„Good night.", Y/N said.

The wolf was snoring as the wolf slept under the light of the moon.
