Chapter 2

Why is Melanie being a bitch, Soph has done nothing wrong. If I was a girl I would slap her so fucking hard. Ugh I hate her.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing, it was Soph

'Girls bathroom, help'

'Shit shit shit!!'

I booked it back towards the school, I burst through the doors and ran towards the girls bathroom. I kicked the door open and scanned the room.
Soph, on the floor, in a small puddle of blood. I rushed towards her, falling to my knees beside her.

'Sophie!? SOPH!?!' I shook her slightly, I didn't want to hurt her more.

'FUCK!'

I took my hoodie off and rapped it around her head and once it was secure I scooped her into my arms. I carried her bridal style as I rushed out towards my car. I laid her down on my back seat and then jumped into the front. I don't think I've ever driven faster. I got to the hospital and pulled into the ambulance bay. I got out of the car.

'Help, HELP ME!! Someone help me!!' I screamed as I pulled Sophie out of my car. Nurses and a few doctors rushed over with a bed and I placed Soph onto it.

'I don't know what happened but I found her on the floor bleeding from her head, I rapped my hoodie around her to stop the bleeding'

'You mightve saved her life, you did good Son' one of the doctors responded. They rushed her into the ED but I couldn't stay with her, I had to stay in the waiting area.

'Connor, get to the hospital now!' I yelled into the phone

'Why what happened, are you okay??' He was worried, good.

'It's Soph'

'Fuck, I'm on my way' with that he hung up. He'd be here in a minute so I tried to calm myself down but I just couldn't. What the hell happened? Was it Melanie? Did she pass out or something? My thoughts once again got interrupted by Connor bursting through the ED doors

'Ben!!' As soon as he saw me he rushed towards me and grabbed me by my collar.

'What the fuck happened to my sister? Who did it?!' He shook me back and forth

'Dude breathe, it's okay. She's gonna be okay. I don't know what happened but I think Melanie and her squad attacked her in the bathroom, when I got there she was unconscious and bleeding pretty badly. That's all I know, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have left her alone' I was tearing up, I can't believe I let her get hurt so bad.

'You helped her though, you got there when she needed you and that's all that matters. Thank you.' He hugged me as we both sobbed, if this was anyone else there would be no tears, Soph is yhe only one we'd cry for.

'Bennett's?' A nurse called, both Connor and I ran up to her.

'That's us, is she okay?' We both said in sync

'Follow me' she turned and walked off, so we followed. She took us into a room and left us at the door. I took a deep breathe and pushed the door open to see Soph on the bed still unconscious with her head rapped in white bandages.

Connor and I sat on either side of her, both of us holding a hand each. She felt cold so I grabbed another blanket and threw it over her. I leaned down and kissed her forehead, careful not to hurt her. Then I put my head on top of her hand and prayed, something I never thought I'd do.

I must've drifted off to sleep, I woke up to someone stroking my hair softly. The first thing I saw was Connor slumped in his chair. Then I turned my head to Soph to see her smiling and stroking my hair.
