An appeal to my senses, an appeal to my inner court.
I'd say I like to be the judge of sounds that surround me. I keep with me my headphones. Old, worn out headphones that have pressed against my ears perhaps too many times; too many for cushions to stay fully intact. Still, enough times to keep out unwanted background noise. Yet noise nonetheless falls in line with the category of sound. And I, delighted to be the judge, have chosen what to block out and what to let in. So I welcome what comes through my headphones. The verdict for other noise: cancellation.
