I decided to write this story due to recent cravings for MDZS Male character insert stories, especially a polyamorous relationship with the main couple. There're so many amazing stories I found in AO3, but unfortunately had been on hiatus for a while. Go check them out under the tag "Lan Zhan/Wei Ying/Original Male Character". They really inspired me to write my own.
This is a Short Story/Pilot Chapter that I'm experimenting with.
If you guys are interested in where this can go, do let me know in the comments! I will need time to read the actual novel because even after seeing all the different media adaptations and revisiting the plot for like the 10th time, I still don't fully understand the plot haha.
Just that WWX is a poor baby that deserves the world and LWJ is a sad man that deserves to let himself indulge in his own desires. So here, an OC that can help lessen their pain.
I'll be working on a Chinese version of this Short Story —despite barely passing Chinese in school haha... I freaking love the Ancient-Modern language that they use. Literally euphoric to hear. It's so smooth and elegant. So look out for it I guess?
Initially, I had wanted to end the story when LWJ and Qianjie went to sleep in Jingshi, which is about 2k words. But, I was like 'why not just go all out? I want more MDZS crumbs anyway', so here it is, reaching nearly 7.5k words hahahhhahahah.
