Adira got the message that she wasn't welcome there and went to leave but Eddie, Dustin and Mike were all quick to speak up, all of them speaking at once

"Don't speak to her like that!" Mike shot

"She's our friend!" Dustin argued

"She can sit with us," Eddie interjected. Adira stopped in her movements and looked around the table at every single one of them waiting for her next instruction

Eddie's eyes drifted over to the table that she had come from and noticed the look on Jason's face as he watched her, his face full of judgement and amusement. It was obvious that Adira was upset and Eddie was certain he had just found the source of her sadness.

Since Eddie was the leader, he spoke up. "She can sit with us, a friend of Mike, Dustin and Lucas are a friend of ours right? No discrimination, and lets not forget that she has never, unlike many of her friends, called us freaks or psycho's now has she?"

The table of boys all looked around at each other as if they were having a conversation through their minds. None of them said anything to each other but then they all nodded and looked back at the girl

"Have a seat Harrington," Eddie said whilst grinning widely at her. She looked at them once more to make sure that they were alright with it and then sat back down, "we were just about to discuss the lovely news article on D&D."

"Listen to this crap," Dustin exclaimed in excitement and amusement as he was practically jumping in his seat

Eddie opened his new paper and then put a serious look on his face. "The Devil has come to America. Dungeons and dragons, at first regarded as a harmless game of make believe - now has both parents and psychologists concerned. Studies have linked violent behaviour to the game, saying it promotes satanic worship, ritual sacrifice, sodomy, suicide, and even..." he slammed the news paper down onto the table and gave them an evil grin, "-murder" he growled palyfully

A scatter of laughter arose from the table. "Jesus who actually believes that shit? Its just a bloody fantasy game," Adira muttered out as she realised that she had no chips left on her plate. A frown covered her face before her eyes drifted over to Dustins plate, "wouldn't mind if i do," she muttered out and reached over, grabbing a handful of his chips

"Hey!" Dustin scowled

"Society has to blame somebody," one of the boys answers Adira's question

"we are just an easy target," Another boy mutters out as he ate his food.

"exactly," Eddie added, his arms crossed over his chest at the thought that they couldn't do anything in piece, every single thing that they did had to be criticised, "we are the freaks just because we like to play a fantasy game. But..." Eddie suddenly stood up, Adira flinched back in shock from his sudden outburst. Eddie climbed up onto their table and looked around the cafeteria

"- as long as you are into band, or science, or partiessss..." he trailed off in a mocking voice as he looked across the room at all the different tables, all of them being easily stereotyped as they sat within their own click, basically replicas of one another, just with a different body, he then looked over towards the table where Jason sat, Eddie thought about the sad look on Adira's face when she had come over to their table and this seemed to fuel his resentment as he raised his hands to his face and raised his voice loudly, "or a game where you toss balls into laundry baskets..."

People around the cafeteria began to call out to Eddie in disgust and hatred

"Loser!"

"Freak!"

"Loser!"

"you want something freak?" Jason asked as he stood up from his table, a scowl on his face as he looked over at Eddie Munson. Eddie stuck his hands up to the side of his face and stuck out his tongue, making gurgling noises, mocking the jock.

Jason rolled his eyes and sat back down while the hellfire table all laughed. Even Adira had giggled at the boy which Eddie was quick to notice as he sent her a wink and then walked back to his edge of the table, "its forced conformity. Thats whats..." he then stuck his arms up in the air and raised his voice again and jumped off the table, "killing the kids!" the people walking past all jumped back and shrieked in fear.

Eddie messed around for a few more moments before plopping back into his chair, "that's the real monster," he muttered out
