"I'm sure he would like this ring."

Nasa mall kami ni Andrea ngayon, dito sa jewelry store. I am planning to buy the engagement ring that I'll give to him when we visit the Philippines next week. Pupunta kami sa relatives ng kambal, at sinuggest nila sa'kin na roon na lang ako mag-propose sa kaniya, sakto rin daw kasi nasa Pilipinas kami.

"I am sure either." I said to Andrea while staring at the engagement ring I was going to give him.

I smiled while staring at that ring. It really suited him...

I guess, it was made for him, for real. I admire the look and design of the ring. It's 33k carat gold with a certified diamond design on top of it.

"I can't wait to give it to him, Andrea. But to be honest, I'm nervous. What if he didn't say yes? I'm not sure how I'll react if he says "No" to my proposal."

Natawa lang si Andrea sa sinabi ko.

"Hindi ko pinapangunahan ang kaibigan ko sa magiging desisyon niya pero feeling ko naman ay "OO" ang isasagot niya. Mahal na mahal ka ng kaibigan ko, baka nga humagulgol pa 'yon. Excited tuloy ako makita siya hahagulgol, panget pa naman no'n kapag umiiyak." I laughed at her, naibsan tuloy 'yong kaba ko.

"Will you buy it, Sir, Ma'am?"

Napatingin ako sa sales lady, nakangiti.

"Yeah, I will buy this one. This one, ha." Paniniguro ko.

Tinanguan ako ng saleslady at saka niya inilabas ang singsing.

"This one, Sir?" Tumango ako, kaya inilapit nang sales lady sa'kin iyong singsing.

I fell more in love with the ring when I saw it in front of me. I form a smile. I can't control myself but to feel excited about giving this to him.

"This is a 33k carat gold ring with a certified diamond design on top of it, sir. It will cost $789,984. What will be the purpose of the ring, sir? May I know? Will you give it as a gift or as a proposal? Because, sir, we have a different type of ring here and it depends on the purpose of the ring."

May ipinakita 'yong sales staff sa'min.

"This, sir, is good for a gift only. It's just a golden ring without a diamond, but it's the same quality as this ring that's good for a proposal to someone you love. But the difference between them is this one has a diamond."

Tinuro nang babae 'yong napili ko kanina.

"Exactly, I will be proposing to my boyfriend."

Napangiti nang malaki ang saleslady sa'kin, mukhang kinilig pa.

"Wow, sir. I'm rooting for you. I am very sure your boyfriend will definitely love this ring."

"Thank you." I smiled at the saleslady.

"Okay, sir. You may now choose here what color and type of box you want for the ring."

May pinakita sa'kin ulit 'yong babae, tinignan namin ni Andrea 'yon. Habang ini-scan ko 'yong catalog kung saan ako pwede mamili, naguguluhan ako, lahat magaganda.

I'm still scanning the catalog until my eyes come down to the bottom. May pumukaw ng atensiyon ko na design doon. I form an "o" in my lips while staring at the design. Ang ganda niya, kulay pula siya na curve 'yong corners niya at maliit lang.

Knowing him, he is not a fan of huge things, so it will be suitable for him when I give this box to him. I even looked more closely at what was in the box and I became even more interested because it can give someone a feeling of being extra special because it has a calming yet romantic vibe of feathers and a piece of red roses inside.
