Chapter 103: The Tournament Part 2

While the audience began to cheer, some of the current Clan heads were more worried than excited.

"Ah, crap..." Takeshi said, looking a bit pale.

"Of all the people to face off against, it had to be Min, huh?" Sosuke noted, looking somewhat shocked.

"This...will surely be something to witness," Yuma muttered.

I looked over at Nobuyo, who was Min's mother. Although she looked passive about the whole thing, something tells me that she's a little happy that her daughter was going up against Taichi.

I'm not liking where this is heading. Do the Bajie Clan and Kaichi Clan have some kind of history? Or maybe it's just the future heads?

As I thought about this, I saw Taichi and the future Kaichi Head stepping onto the arena. Taichi was looking a bit nervous, while Min looked...passive, like her mother.

I didn't really pay much attention before, but looking at her now, I can tell that Min looks a lot like her mother. Her hair was a bit longer than her mother's, but it was the same color along with the sheep horns. She also has a blindfold with the same markings as her mother.

She radiated a bit of elegance, the way she stood still and firm in front of Taichi. She almost looked bored with how expressionless she looked.

"H-hey, Min..." Taichi tried to strike up a conversation.

"Hello, piggy pervert," The words Min spoke not only surprised me but a couple of other Clan heads as well.

Piggy pervert, huh...why do I get the feeling that Min has a personal grudge against Taichi?

"A-ah...I-I guess you're still mad about what happened..." Taichi said, feeling guilty.

Oh, so it was a personal grudge. I wonder what it's about.

"You mean when you and the monkey bastard decided to peek in on the girls while we were at the hot springs?"

Whoa, they did what now? Sosuke and the others were with us, so I couldn't ask them what Min meant by that. Thankfully, though I'm kind of stretching it, Sayuri came to my rescue.

"A few months back, Makoto and Taichi decided to peek on the girls while they were at the hot springs. I believe it was Makoto Wukong that suggested it, while Taichi simply followed his lead. Long story short, the two boys peeked and were caught and punished severely."

Geez, I didn't expect that kind of scenario...

I looked over at Sosuke, who was the father of Makoto. He noticed my stare and turned away, looking somewhat nervous.

"M-Makoto can be a bit...adventurous when he really shouldn't be."

"Like Father like Son," Yuma snorted and smoke came out of his nose.

"W-well, we were like that too, when we were young..." Takeshi tried to reason. "T-though I understand your point."

"Don't even get me started on when you idiots did that," Kiharu grumbled.

"And to think Lord Yasu was a part of that..." Nobuyo said with a lonely gaze.

"Hey, Yasu was the one that suggested it!" Sosuke said. "Who were we to ignore the orders of our lord?"

"I ignored it," Yuma replied, giving Sosuke the stink eye.

"E-either way," Takeshi spoke up. "That doesn't change the fact that the fight is about to start."

As soon as the Bajie Clan Head said this, the announcer soon started the match.

"And...Begin!"

The moment the fight started; I quickly noticed the red markings on Min's blindfold started to glow. That must've meant that she was using her ability.
