"This isn't goodbye, I know I will see y'all again even if I'm a little old lady by then I'll still remember three of the best people I've ever met."
WHEN ANIKA PULLED... into the driveway to her house to see her dad's car nowhere in sight, she slowly took the key from the ignition and walked towards the front door, a smile painted on her rosy lips.
She lazily picked a song, then went to work on making her father's, favorite dinner. She meticulously sliced through the slab of meat on the cutting board, before moving to the vegetables.
As she began cutting into the last pepper the door burst open causing Anika to look up. She was met with the dark voided eyes of a large pitch-black wolf, his teeth bared and dripping with saliva.
Slowly she stepped back, the cold metal slicing along her middle finger. "Shit." She cursed, the spice of the pepper making the bloody wound burn more. Quickly she looked down at the wound, before turning her attention back at the now closed door, the giant menacing wolf nowhere in sight.
Shaking off her confusion, she hastily cleaned her finger putting a bandage over it, before throwing the ingredients into the pan. As she stirred the food, the sound of her father's tires moving along the slick gravel of the driveway filled her ears, a smile making its way across her face at the sound.
